"THROW HER OVERBOARD LADS!" screamed the captain of the ship over the loud roll of thunder hammering above them like a war drum. Several dozen men surrounded a skinny small, mousey brown haired girl, whom was gagged and tied in rope, pushing her too and throw between them towards the plank on the edge of their ship was dangerously moving along with the waves in the storm that had worsened I since they had left the confines of land a week prior.

Lifting her up the men tied several heavy chains with small cannon balls on the ends of the rope that bound her legs together before looking back at their captain.

"THROW HER! THROW HER TO THE SIRENS! LET HER DEATH BE THE END OF THIS STORM!" the captain screamed from the helm. His hair and clothes billowing in the wind as sea water splattered across all their faces as he turned the ship to keep on top of the high wave, they were on so not to crash and lose their lives.

In a sudden lurch of the ship they threw the woman overboard with such ferocity down wards she didn't have time to hold her breath before the impact of freezing water smacked against her skin as she rapidly sunk downwards towards the sea floor. Water filling her as she struggled against her tight rope that bound her to this fate of death. Darkness started to edge its way into her senses as her mind slowed down at the same pace as her heart. 

- What did I do to end up like this? – Arcissa questioned as she slowly lost consciousness. she looked up slightly barely able to see the little light that made its was from the surface of the water. Memories of her life prior replaying as deaths grip started to physically pull on her heart. But one old song many used to chant, she should of perhaps heeded before her journey.

'Bad luck will ensue if a woman is found here.

Goodbye old wench for thee we fear.

So thus, we must throw her to the gods,

For us, we men be true and free

Of any gods wrath and deadly despair'
