Tips for each class / subject

World Language:

- Converse with people who are better than u at the language

- Intensity of study > length of study

- Practice in your head

- Journal in the language you are learning

- Go to your teacher privately if you are confused

- Watch entertainment in the language you are learning!

Math:

- Always go to class, and if you miss, make up your homework right away

- Ask questions and listen to others ask questions

- Review daily for 10-20 minutes

- Review your notes before starting your homework

- Show all of ur work and check yourself

- Practice makes perfect

- Teach the material to better learn it

History:

- To memorize dates, draw a timeline. Look at the big events first, then the small ones

- Make practice quizzes

- Know how one topic leads to another 

- Make flow diagrams

- Summarize events and periods

- Watch summary videos 

English:

- Practice spelling and punctuation often to be on the safe side

- Always know the key themes of each reading

- Write plot-summaries

- Use spark notes and cliff notes to make practice quizzes

- Research the period of time and setting of the novel

- Know the characters in depth

Science:

- Always read the texts before class

- Flash cards

- Pay attention to the pics in the textbook as they are important

- Take notes in class

- Always ask questions if you are confused

- Pay attention during labs

- Rewrite your notes (it helps remember the information you learned in the lesson)

- Use the resources that are provided
