I felt my bed shift under an unknown weight and strong arms wrap around my waist.
I grabbed the person's wrist and squeezed it hard enough to hear the crunching of bones breaking,"Jiraiya! I told you last time you did this that I would kill you if you did it again! Do you never learn, old man?!"
"What the fuck?! You broke my fucking wrist!" the person cried out in pain, but it didn't sound like Jiraiya. I knew what he sounded like when I hurt him. I flipped over immediately and was face to face with a beautiful man with long, brunette hair who looked like he wanted to murder me. Genma. "Oh shit! Sorry! Genma, I didn't realize it was you! I forgot I let you stay the night. I feel so bad, I'm sorry!" I tried to apologize as much as I could.
"Stop saying sorry," he gritted his teeth,"it's not helping."
"My bad," I blinked several times and sat up, "I'm not really good at healing, so you should probably go to the hospital honestly."
He cautiously stood up and began gathering his things with his nonbroken hand. Occasionally he would glance up at me and give me death glares, but I didn't take it personally. He shouldn't have touched me!
I sighed in defeat,"Let me help you. I feel a little bad about hurting you, but I really thought you were somebody else."
"Remind me to never get in bed with you again," he mumbled.
"I promise it's usually much better and more enjoyable than this," I smirked suggestively at him,"Maybe you should let me show you sometime."
He simply gave me a look of disbelief that made me regret what I said. Apparently, this is not the right time to be horny. "Sorry, I'll get dressed and we can go."
"We?" his facial expression changed to one of confusion.
"Yeah, I'm going with you. I'll hold your hand when you get scared," I said decidedly as I got out of bed and put a matching red cropped top and skirt set on. The skirt had high slits on both sides that exposed my long legs. I usually wore fishnets or bandages under it but I didn't have time to put much effort into my look.
Genma was eyeing me up, probably regretting turning down my offer earlier. I know I look good.
"You have a stain on the ass," he said in a monotone voice.
I frowned but tried to not be annoyed,"I know. I sat in broth on accident."
"How?" He scoffed.
"Well it all started at-" I started but he cut me off.
He shook his head,"Let's just go already. You already broke my wrist, now you're giving me a headache."
I shrugged and we made our way to the front door of my apartment. My brother was no longer sleeping on the couch, there was no sign that he was even here. I made a mental note to talk to him soon, I need to know what's going on with him.
"You really don't have to come along with me," Genma mumbled.
"I do," I smiled at him and interlocked our arms,"What kind of girlfriend would I be if I didn't go with you,"
"Girlfriend?!" He shouted in surprise, causing me to burst out in laughter.
"I'm just messing with you! Don't freak out like that," I said calmly. He shook his head and didn't say anything for the rest of the walk to the hospital.GENMA'S P.O.V.
Once we got there, I checked in at the reception desk and sat down in the waiting room with the girl who was the reason I was here in the first place. I was surprised that she actually came with me to the hospital, I thought she was joking when she offered to come and hold my hand. I was wrong. She was holding my uninjured hand despite my numerous protests, she must get off on embarrassing me. Even though I swore to her that she didn't have to hold my hand, I secretly enjoyed it a bit. There was no doubt in my mind that she was one of the most attractive women I've met."Mr. Shiranui, the doctor will see you now," a pretty nurse smiled at me. If Ryoko wasn't clinging to my hand, I would be flirting with the nurse right now. "You and your girlfriend can follow me," the nurse began to lead us to a room.
"She's not my-"
Ryoko fake giggled and clung to my arm,"Oh I just love you so much, honey bear." A devious smile spread across her face.
"Quit it," I scolded her,"I know what you're doing."
"I'm not doing anything," she said innocently.
"You're making it where I can't flirt with the nurse," I whispered to her.
She frowned and whispered back,"Why the fuck would I do that? I'm just playing along."
I rolled my eyes,"Whatever."
The nurse showed us to the room and closed the door behind her, leaving Ryoko and I alone again. I'm getting tired of being alone with her. I glanced over at her and noticed she was flipping through a magazine. Where did she get that from?
"I brought it with me," she didn't look up at me as her eyes continued to scan the page.
"What is it?" I asked curiously.
She raised an eyebrow and looked at me,"A magazine." The way she put emphasis on the word 'magazine' like I didn't know what a magazine was made my eye twitch.
"Obviously. What's it about?" I rolled my eyes.
She shrugged nonchalantly,"Dunno."
I sighed and turned away from her, talking to her brought me nothing but frustration. The more time I spend with this woman, the more I dislike her. She's gorgeous, but that doesn't change the fact that she's awful.
The doctor walked into the room and greeted us,"Mr. and Mrs. Shiranui."
I shook my head and pointed at Ryoko,"I wouldn't marry her even if it was an arranged marriage."
The doctor looked surprised but didn't respond, she just began examining my hand and wrist. She brought out a pen and scribbled on her notepad as she said,"Well, your wrist is broken pretty badly. I'm going to need to put it in a cast."
"A cast?" I whined a little.
"Unfortunately," the doctor mumbled and began preparing the things she needed.RYOKO'S P.O.V.
Genma sat there patiently as the middle-aged doctor put a cast on his wrist. She was extremely touchy with him. I didn't care though, I just continued to page through my magazine. I wasn't actually reading it, it was just an excuse to not have to talk to Genma.
The doctor finished making the cast and placed her hand on Genma's shoulder,"You should be good now. If it gives you any trouble, feel free to call me." She held out a card to him with her number scribbled on the back. She came prepared apparently.
"That's not very professional, is it?" I asked in a bored tone. I interrupted Genma from flirting with the nurse before because she was my friend. She knew I wasn't dating Genma but called me his girlfriend to try to embarrass me, so I played along to try to show her that she didn't embarrass me like she thought she would. This time, I was annoyed because the doctor was flirting with her patients. It was weird to me.
"I'm just a doctor who cares about her patients," the doctor defended herself.
"Okay, sure," I scoffed and closed my magazine,"Let's go, Genma."
Genma gave me a look of confusion,"Why would I go anywhere with you? You broke my wrist."
I rolled my eyes,"It was an accident!"
The doctor quirked her eyebrow,"She did this to you?"
Genma nodded his head and sent an icy glare my way.
"You should press charges," she said in a cold tone.
"What?!" I shouted in disbelief.
"For assault," the doctor said.
"I didn't hurt him on purpose!" I shouted then gathered my things,"I'm leaving. Bye, Genma."
I waved at him and stormed out of the hospital. I wasn't sticking around to be blamed anymore. I couldn't believe that bitch wanted Genma to press charges. I should have fought her, but that would have just made things worse. I groaned and almost bumped into somebody.
A silver haired man wearing a mask looked down at me in annoyance,"Want to watch where you're going next time?"
I furrowed my eyebrows,"Want to stop standing in the middle of the damn road next time?!" I was beyond irritated with everyone at this point, I didn't need this rude stranger making it worse.
I don't know if I'm just imagining things or not, but I swore the man smiled at me. "What's your name?"
My face softened,"Ryoko."
"That's a pretty name," he looked me up and down,"I'm Kakashi."
"That's an overused line, Kakashi," I shot back at him.
"You've got an attitude problem," he observed.
"I'm just being honest," I shrugged.
He smiled to himself,"I like that in a woman."
"Oh?" I grinned. I took in the man's appearance and I couldn't help but find him a little attractive despite the silly mask he was wearing. Maybe this man will be less annoying than the last one I met.GENMA'S P.O.V.
I rushed out of the hospital after Ryoko but she was already gone. I had no idea which direction she went. I felt a little bad that she was so upset, I'm not a complete asshole. I had been irritated with having to go to the hospital and Ryoko messing with me flirting with the nurse, but I didn't mean for things to escalate like they did. I sighed and shook my head, I didn't have time to look for her because I have to meet some friends for food. Maybe I'll see her later.
