I laughed a little under my breath I am not going to college but I'm not going to let her know that. thank you miss Johnson I promise to use it wisely. everybody knows this scholarship is going to the landfill where all the other trash goes shit I might be smart but college is not for me I'm tired of everybody taking me for granted even though I have a academic scholarship for the fall I will not leave new York for anything. I walked out only to see momma jazz and my best friend Hawaiian. We get in the car and head home. We get in the house and I am asked my first question.

"Baby how did your test go" momma jazz asked. "well mommy I got a scholarship" I said looking at her and her son."that's great C" hawaiian said I laughed and he laughed with me I guess mommy got mad because she started to cuss us out. "damn it C why is your dumb ass trying to stay here you need to go to Florida and make a name for yourself". "I will momma" I said "by getting a job college life just isn't for me". "and living in my house is not for you either heffa" she said. "man momma damn I'm finna get a house I don't have no where else to go Carolyn don't want me no more if she did I wouldn't be in the system now would I Jack don't want me either then he would have been my legal guardian". my momma Carolyn and my pops Jack seem to care less about how I am doing now that I'm over the age sixteen and I am old enough to get my own job and dont need child support."don't say that Carielle u no your daddy love you and u also no he's not fit to take care of you after he lost yo momma" Hawaiian stated boldly. "Boy please If someone is hurt they seek comfort but he didn't so forget him and his new home and filthy ass family" I said storming out of the family room.They don't understand that man and Carolyn hurt me I wanted them to be parents but they put me in the bum ass system. But I got a family and don't need shit from they broke asses. And besides I got a them. mama Jazz is a good mama and takes care of me like I am her daughter for real and I love her like a mama too. Hawaiian is a different story he is my two in one. He protects me like a little sister but holds conversations with me like a best friend should. I get to my room and look at my skinny and short frame in the mirror. I finally get out of the mirror, strip, and go to bed.
