I was chilling in the garage just making some beats putting pieces together for our album we had yet to drop

I had a blunt in my mouth which honestly kept me focused while I chilled wit Ed running beats back perfecting every second of this song we'd been working on all day I honestly had lost track of time; y/n is supposed to be over in the next hour so I had to make sure to freshen up before she got here. I didn't smoke infront of her out respect for her I didn't know how'd she would react if she knew I did so I just never told her. Truthfully I was scared she wouldn't be okay with it and break up with me.

"Aye you got the lighter on you" I turn seeing Zion sitting in the chair putting on the headset I played the beat again while he flicked the lighter "yea dat hard" I smile leaning back taking a hit "is that all you need? you good?" He asks walking towards the door "yea thanks just text me when y/n get here; oh and pass me a water" I say hearing him fumbling through the mini fridge. He tosses it to me I set it down bopping my head to the song that rung so heavily through my ears this room was not one bit sound proof but I didn't feel bad for the neighbors they should be honored to be hearing this damn exclusive ass music.

"Yo if tomorrow doesn't come yesterday already came all over the floor" Ed mutters to himself I just look over at him watching him take a long ass hit deep in thought this the exact reason why we don't let his ass get high he started coughing and shit I just laughed shaking my head he was something else I was sitting in my favorite chair listening to the song back to back something wasn't sitting right with me I soon heard the dog barking I was really in my head at the moment just kinda contemplating whether I liked the song or not

I decided to let it up for the night and chill wit Ed on the couch scrolling through Instagram liking some fan pics

Well that was until I heard someone clear their throat I looked up and seen y/n standing in front of me crossing her arms looking pissed off "Brandon-" I cut her off immediately taking the blunt out of between my lips quickly blowing out the smoke "y/n let me explain before you go off" I say coughing "how long?" She asked "wha..what?" I stutter she looked mad my worst nightmare was coming true right before my eyes "nigga how long you been smoking for?" She asks I shrug looking down tapping the the blunt in the ash tray not making eye contact "I'm not even gone lie we been doing this shit y/n" Edwin blurts out I glared at him "bro shut the fuck up" I utter lowly

"Oh so you just been lying to me huh b?" She says "no..well yea I didn't know how you'd react you could break up with me right now for all I know" I confess "b......baby i don't care if you smoke it's that fact that you lied" she says sitting down next to me "wait...really?" I ask surprised raising an eyebrow I could've sworn she was bouta beat my ass or something "no nigga i used to do that shit too if u wanna smoke that ain't got nothing to do with me it's just the first time I asked you about it you should've told me" she says "like that time I straight up walked into your room and it was smelling like straight pack in there you looked me dead in my eye and lied about that shit that's what got me tight right now" she says laughing I could tell she was lighting up about this whole situation

"Hold on you used to smoke?" I ask confused as hell she smacks her lips "that's all you got out of that.....really nigga yes I did when I was like 17 and still living in New York" she chuckles I pull her onto my lap "so you really cool wit this?" I ask just tryna make sure she ain't playing wit me she nods I take a long ass hit smiling "blow that shit in my face and I'll smack you upside yo head b" she warned

I blew the smoke out laughing she wrapped her arms around my shoulders getting comfortable
