Waves of Love

Chapter 01

Elisa's POV

Finally out of the endless snow and cold, i step out of my bed and decide to take a warm shower,

"Elisaa" i hear my mom's voice call my name down the stairs, I groan to myself and neatly tuck the corners of my bed sheet.

"Elisa darling" she calls again

"Coming mom" i yell back "just let me get a quick shower" i add

I step in the bathroom and as the warm water touches my body, i find myself lost in imagining walking in to the Medical school and my life away from mom, dad and all, how would i even adjust without my room. God! That's making me anxious. It'll be fine. Yes it will. Trying to relax myself I think of the moment when everybody was thrilled to see my acceptance letter from the Harvard Medical School, especially mom, her happy face makes me smile. I hurry washing my hair and body, i wear a lose pair of sweatpants and white shirt and walk down the stairs

"Good morning mom" i hug her from the back as she is busy making peanut butter sandwiches for me

"Good morning sweetheart" she says and turn around to pull me into a tight hug

"I'll miss you elisa"

"I'll miss you too mom" i take her in my hands and place a soft kiss on her right cheek, hugging her again. I can feel the glossiness of my eyes but i push back my tears

"C'mon Let's have your favourite breakfast now, you're getting late and your dad is going to be here any minute" my mom says

We both have our breakfast in silence because each one of us know if we talk we'll end up crying

"Hello beautiful ladies" Dad smiles a perfectly lined smile while standing to pull me into a tight hug

"Hey dad" i try to give him an equally bright smile but i fail to do so

"don't worry about anything and keep calling us" he advises me while trying to cover up his emotions behind the smile, but i can feel them, i can

"I will dad!" I look away to dismiss the tears tucked in the corner of my eyes

"Both of you hurry up, we are getting late" he disappears with my bags after placing a quick kiss on my forehead. And we both follow him into the car
