The party was wild. So many people packed into one house it was crazy! You could barely move without bumping into someone. However, when you have a giant of a best friend like I do, people tend to move out of your way.

"I feel like I have my own personal bodyguard." I joke up to Sam who rolled his eyes playfully.

"I'm not that tall." He stated before bumping his head on a chandelier hanging from the ceiling. "Ouch."

"Point proven."

"Shut up."

Giggling, I ushered him on. He made our way to the kitchen so we could grab a drink. I grabbed both of us a Budweiser and we took a sip. "So, where's Jessica?" I wiggles my eyebrows teasingly.

Sam just chuckled. "I have no idea. We'll bump into her eventually."

"Wow, don't sound too excited, Lover Boy. Thought you liked liked her?"

"'Liked liked?' What are you? Five?"

"Seven actually but close enough." I joked. "But seriously, do you?" My stomach twisted at the suspense of the answer. If Sam said he did, I'd be heartbroken...but if he said no...

"To be honest...I'm not totally sure. Yeah she's pretty and nice but...I don't know. I guess we'll see." Sam smiles down at me which made me force one back. Not the answer I was looking for but not the answer I was hoping for either.

"Well Hakuna Matata." I shrugged, sipping my beer again.

Sam laughed and shook his head. "You can quote Disney in every situation, Y/N."

"I can and I will."

"You're adorable."

The blush on my cheeks could not be stopped. "Oh shush."

Sam leant down and pressed a kiss to my forehead. "Never. Now, how about a dance?" He smiled charmingly, holding out his hand.

"You, Sam Winchester, are one amazing guy." I said, gently sliding my hand into his. Tingles glided from my fingertips all the way to my shoulder.

Sam chuckled. "Only for an amazing girl."

We walked in silence to where everyone was dancing. All the while the blush never leaving my cheeks and the tingles never stopping. I never wanted to stop dancing. Never wanted to break eye contact as we swayed our bodies, never wanting the giggles and smiles to leave my lips. Only now, I realised how deep I was with my feelings toward Sam. This could be the start of something beautiful.

"Sam? Sammy! Goddammit." I grumbled as I pushed though the throng of people. "Will you fucking move. Small people matter too!"

I had lost Sam when I went to get a drink. We had danced for god knows how long and I had started to get warm so I went in search for something to cool me down.

When I had gotten a drink, I went back to where I'd left Sam, only to discover he'd disappeared. "How can you loose a Moose?" I huffed to myself.

As the night continued, many people had told me they had seen Sam go upstairs. I thanked them and went on with my quest of finding him. I checked every room to find them empty. My last resort was the bathroom.

It seemed empty. No one yelled when I knocked so I pushed open the door and entered. "Sam?"

My eyes widened at the sight set before me. My heart pretty much shattered too. Sam was stood at the sink...in between Jess's legs sharing a heated, hungry kiss. His hands on her exposed upper thighs where her dress had ridden up and her hands hidden in his unbuttoned shirt.

They only pulled apart when they heard my voice. Jess was blushing innocently with a shy apologetic smile. Sam's expression was different. It looked guilty. Like a child that had been scolded by his mother.

"Y/N..." Sam whispered.

My mouth was open but no words came out. However, I managed to force them. "I-I...um, sorry. No one a-answered when I uh, k-knocked." Sam was about to reply but I cut him off. "I'll see you later, Sam. Jess." I nodded to her and then slammed the door shut.

A loud, shaky break breath that I didn't realise I was holding left my lungs. How could I have been so stupid? We were friends. Best friends. There couldn't be anything between us. He's got her. I can't compete. We're friends after all.

My body regained control of my legs and began walking down the hallway. Only to be stopped by someone calling my name. Turning, I saw a disheveled Sam stood there, shirt still open, giving me a treat of his beautiful tanned, toned skin.

No, I can't think that.

No eye contact. It'll only hurt more to see his puppy dog eyes. "What?" My voice was quiet.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean for-"

"Mean to ditch me and eat some other girls face off? Yeah, you really tripped and fell into that one." Sarcasm was covering up the hurt in my voice.

"Please Y/N..." Sam pleaded.

"I thought...I really though that...we..."

Sam took a step forward, arms ready to embrace me. "Thought that what?"

"How could I be so stupid?" Tears filled my eyes. My feet backed away from my best friend. "Nothing. I'll see you tomorrow, Sam."

"Y/N don't. Stay."

"Jess is waiting." I said bitterly with a sniffle before scurrying off. I rushed outside, knocking into people without a care.

As I got to the entrance, I crashed into someone, nearly knocking us both off balance. "Whoa there Buckerroo." A husky voice chuckled.

"S-sorry." I stuttered, looking up at the guy I bumped into.

It was a guy with light brown blonde hair, the greenest eyes I'd ever seen and a killer smirk. Handsome, with a bad boy swagger. Especially in that leather jacket.

"Hi, I'm Dean."
