I looked down at my phone and opened it up to see their numbers in my phone. Elijah put his contact as "Eli😘😎" which made me laugh and blush. Liam put his number as "Liam Silver". I laughed at how formal it sounded, making me think about how well that fit him. It's 10:56 and I was starved from not eating breakfast. I put my phone away and headed to the fridge.

I opened it to find close to nothing. We had strawberries, jelly, a cheese block, carrots, and some lemons. I closed the fridge and went to the pantry.

"Cans, cans, and oh look...more cans." I muttered. I flipped some cans around until I found some pear slices. I took off the top throwing it under the sink in the garbage and grabbed a fork hopping on the counter almost dropping my can. I ate in silence thinking about what to do now.

I finished and through my can away washing and drying the fork, putting it back in it's drawer. I grab my buckets and head to my room. I put my razors in my bathroom drawer and sigh. It's been a weird day for me. I rubbed my face and walked downstairs into the front room flopping on the couch, hitting the power button on the remote stationed there. I flipped through some channels until I landed on Tom and Jerry.

Jerry is in his hole with Tom is waiting outside. Tom is holding a hammer above some trap he made out of cheese. Little dose Tom know that there's two holes. And so the show goes on with Tom not getting Jerry and Jerry getting the cheese while tricking Tom. I remember I used to hate Tom but now looking at it I feel sorry for him. He reminds me of some people I know.

I sigh and scroll through my Instagram and mindlessly like photos laughing at some stupid memes and reading argumentive comments on controversial posts.

I got up and turned off the TV after dropping my phone on my face for the second time because of a loud bang that Tom or Jerry would make. I laughed at myself for being so skiddish.

I stretched and jumped a little when my phone buzzed. I looked down to see "Eli😘😎" had sent me a text.

"Hey"

"Hello"

"I was wondering if, since you just got here, you have any plans for school?"

"Yeah I'm going to the highschool right in town"

"That's so relieving to hear! I'm a junior at there and I could show you around school when you come? I could talk to the teachers about it"

"Thank you for the offer, I'd like that. I start this Monday."

I found it easier to talk to him over the phone. I felt at ease like I can be myself and I can't get flustered because I can't see his face.

"Great I'm looking forward to it! I can't wait to see you again. You can sit at our lunch table so you won't have to be alone for the first few days!😁"

"Thanks :), see you Monday"

"Yep😆"

I laughed at how I could tell it was Elijah through text. I decided to send him another text because I didn't want to seem unenthusiastic about it.

"☺️ Looking forward to it too"

I turned off my phone smiling. He's sweet. I'm starting to warm up to the twins. I head upstairs an idea forming in my head. I wandered into the guest bedroom and stripped the bed of it's large comforter. I laid it on the stairs and smiled as I saw it covered half. I went into my bedroom and took off my comforter carefully dragging the large blanket down the stairs and laying it down so it covered the rest of the stairs and then some. I carefully rushed back up the stairs and grabbed the guest pillow. This my friends is how you have a good time. The stairs were carpeted and perfect for sliding down, but add some blankets and it's a whole new level. I sat on the pillow pulling out my phone and started the recorder. I gave myself a little push and flew down the stairs yelling and almost dropping my phone as I tumbled down and flew into the wall. I sat up laughing so loud I swear my neighbors could hear.

I run/trip up the stairs and got the great idea to go down backwards. I flew down and flipped getting caught on the second comforter. I poked my head out of my wrapped state as I laughed again. Replacing the blanket I went down again, this time on my belly, another on my back and I alternated laughing everytime I reached the end.

Finally, after many videos, I put the comforters back and plopped on my bed. I was still laughing and breathing hard from so much exercise. Many people would call me childish for being a 17 year old junior who's laughing like a maniac because she slid down some stairs, but I thought it was great.

I started to wonder what the twins would think of my behavior. I smiled as I decided Elijah would probably be excited and come up with challenges to go down and Liam would do it but have more fun watching from the sides. I burried my grinning face into my pillow and felt excited. Five days until I go to school. With that in mind I fell asleep.
