Cody Jenson did not want to leave. His mother informed him a month ago that they were going to need to pack EVERYTHING that they owned and put it into a U-Haul to be shipped halfway across the country to one of the busiest cities in the world.

Cody lived in southeast Wisconsin, so he really didn't know what a big city was like. Sure, there was Milwaukee, and if you wanted to take the train, you could go to Chicago, but this was New York City. He was moving all of their stuff to New York City. This thought was still very confusing to Cody, but he still silently packed all of his items into boxes.

"Cody, the U-Haul will be here in 15 minutes!" His mom called. "Okay mom, I'm almost done." He yelled back, wiping a tear from his face. He just packed 16 years of memories into a few boxes. Pictures, items, clothes, everything.

Cody wasn't a big fan of change. He liked things the way they were. He didn't want anything to change because he liked how it was. His friends, his house, hell, even his teachers who were still confused as to why he chose to be gay, even though he told them about a million times that he didn't choose.

He brought his boxes down and put them by the door. He wiped another tear. His mom saw and turned to him. "I know this has been tough, but you'll make new friends in Queens. Midtown has a great staff and history. Also, Spider-man is very frequent around there. Just saying, that's pretty lit."

"Mom, don't say lit." Cody said laughing and put a hand on his face.

"Come on, the U-Haul's here. Let's get the boxes in there." She said to him. He nodded reluctantly and grabbed a box. One by one, they placed the boxes in the U-Haul. When they were finished, they took off. Cody was trying his best to hide the tears, but he couldn't. They started rolling down his face. They were leaving everything behind, not knowing what would be in store.

The 14 drive to New York wasn't that bad. It was easier with highways and stuff, but they occasionally stopped in a different city to grab something to eat. In fact, when they got to Queens, Cody checked his and was surprised that it was the same day. He slept most of the trip.

"Okay Cody, were here. We wont move in today, since it's 11:37 PM, but we'll get started tomorrow. We're staying my friends house tonight, is that alright with you?"

"Huh?" Cody was asleep. "Oh, yeah, sure, whatever." He said tiredly. His mom laughed. "I think you'll like him. He's fun, though he tends to have to much fun. He has a son, so you can meet him too. Peter, I think his name is." His mom said.

Cody just gives a thumbs up. He wasn't really in the mood to have a full conversation with someone that he didn't know at 11:37 PM.

Little did he know the effect that Peter was going to have on Cody's life.
