PLEASE READ ITS IMPORTANT
hi my name is Cameron I'm the author of this story. you can find me on IG @ _STAR.FAN. this is my first time writing a story so it might be a little over the place and expect writing errors because I'm horrible with writing.
SO a quick rundown: this story obviously takes place before the events of Star. I chose the year 1992 and here you will meet the group. technically they aren't mixed harmony yet so you will see how they get the name, their rise to fame, and their demise.
Also their might be time jumps. The beginning is a for sure time jump taking place a few years after the actually story starts(this is around the time Carlotta pregnant with Cotton/Arnold) and then it jumps back to 1992. 1992 is where most of the story will take place... atleast for now if we do a time jump I will let you know
Anyways, because this is meant to be a prequel to the show I'm doing as much research as I can but if you see anything wrong with the timeline please let me know. Also let me know of any errors in the story (there might be A LOT..lol). Oh and if in the future I want to name/ base stories off of late 80's and early 90's songs so if you know any good ones please let me know so I can incorporate them into the story.
I added in a few characters so the main one is named Catalina (Car or Lina for short) She's a 19 year old Latina. she sings but dancing is more her passion and in the beginning she's already in the group with Carlotta and Mary. She's also close with them but not as close as they are. (sidetone my Spanish is horrible and Cat being Latina she will speak Spanish in most parts and if I offend you with my horrible Spanish I apologize in advance)
