Chapter 3

Daisy's POV
After I let go of Eggsys hand uncle gives me a look like he knows something before I can say anything Eggsy cuts in
"So your our new doctor forgive me for asking but arent you a little to young to be a physician?" Oh he is going to get it now I thought
"Arent you a little short to be a kingsman" my uncle bursts out laughing.
"Harry I'm sorry but how do we know she is qualified for this job? I mean she is just a country girl" oh hell no I thought no body makes fun of my roots.
"Well you see there egg head I went to this place called Duke University and got my masters in medicine. I have saved over 100 people's lives, so yeah I think I'm very qualified. I may sound like a stupid hillbilly but one of these days this hillbilly will have to save your ass so if I was you I would be a little nicer to me" tequila and harry are shocked by what I've said a awkward silence fills the room, by the look on Eggsys face hes never had someone talk back to him like that.
"Daisy let me show you to your new office" harry finally says as we head down the hallway I see eggsy following us when we approach the hug room full of computers monitors and a desk eggsy starts
"You cant be fucking serious harry this is Merlins office?"
"Eggsy watch your tone. Daisy is a member of this team now weither you like it or not"
"So what next your gonna tell me you gave her Roxys room too?" When harry didnt respond it made me wonder who these people were. Maybe some of the agents who died? They had to have been for him to be so upset. I could see Eggsys eyes start to water when harry didnt answer about the room.
"Oh that's right I forgot we have to fucking forget them and pretend they never existed. Show no emotions right. Got it. If you will excuse me I'm heading out" Eggsy storms off
"Eggsy dont!" Harry yells.
"Harry why dont you go check on Eggsy. I'll finish showing Daisy her new duties" uncle says. Harry nods and goes after Eggsy.
"What was that guys problem?"
"You'll have to over look Eggsy. Hes had a rough few years"
"That doesnt give him the right to be a dick to me. I didnt do anything to him"
"Well I know one thing you sure can put him in his place and make him shut up. Maybe you being here will be good for him"
"How am I going to help?"
"I know you better than anyone Daisy your kindness to others always impacts people. I'm sure once Eggsy gets to know you he will come around. Besides you'll be seeing him everyday and his suite is down the hall from you"
"What?! Hes my neighbor"
"Yep I tried to get you a room on my floor but Champ insisted for you to take the suite on the same floor as the medical center. Now come on and I'll show you around"
He takes me into the huge office hands me the manual and everything I'll need to manage base. Next he takes me upstairs to the medical center. This one has a lot better equipment than the Statesman so I was happy with my new set up.
"Oh and before I forget" he hands me a new pair of glasses
"These are your new glasses dont worry I had them put your perception in them so you can see. Now if you blink your eyes you have access to everything on the base computers. You will also have a built in camera, but hopefully you will never have to use it. Also you will have access to all of our glasses"  I blink my eyes a few times to test them out
"This is awesome."
"I knew you'd like them. I picked them for you" I look in the mirror unlike everyone else's my glasses were sky blue which really highlighted my eyes.
"Well I'm gonna leave you to it so you can get adjusted to everything. If you need me I'm just a phone call away"
"I'll be fine uncle I think im just going to review everything and study up on the manual for my first day tomorrow" he comes over and gives me a kiss on my forehead. As he leaves I decide to go into the medical files for curiosity I wanted to know who Merlin and Roxy were. As I read the files I can now see why Eggsy was so upset. Roxy died while inside the headquarters explosion and Merlin sacrificed himself for Harry and Eggsy. No wonder he was so grumpy. Maybe I should do something for him. No wait what am I thinking, he was a dick to me, but he is so handsome, no daisy stop it hes not that handsome..... to keep my mind from wondering I dive into the huge manual.

Eggsys POV
To let out my frustration I go to the shooting range. I hear someone come in and I know who it is behind me.
"If your here to make me apologize to the new girl I'm not doing it. Its obvious shes going to be getting special treatment because shes tequilas niece"
"I'm not here for that Eggsy. I have a feeling in time you will apologize to her on your own time. For now all I ask is for you to try to get along with her. Shes a very lovely young lady, shes more like you than you realize"
"Oh really now? Looks to me like shes been handed everything. I've had to work my ass off to get here" I notice harry is holding a file and he places it beside of me on the table.
"If you think she hasn't worked hard read this."
"What's this?"
"Her file Eggsy. I took it from Tequilas room. Just dont let him know you have seen it" confusion on my face I look at the file closely. I was shocked by what i was reading. Daisy's mother was murdered when she was 15. After her mothers murder she was kidnapped until tequila found her. As I read moreTequila moved her to Kentucky with a foster family. Maybe shes not going to be as bad as I thought. I hand Harry the file back and continue to shoot.
"Oh and by the way Eggsy daisy's suite is down the hall from yours so if you decide to move back in your room thought you'd want to know that." Harry closes the door behind him. Maybe I should apologize to her. Although I have to admit to myself I kinda liked being mean to her and seeing her reaction. Shes pretty cute mad. Maybe I may have a little fun with her.
A few hours go by I decide to go back to my suite to get ready for bed. I go up the elevator and pass by Daisy's room. Her door is cracked open and I can see she has fallen asleep with her face planted in the manual. I decide on a whim to go into her room and place her in her bed. I tip toe my way beside of her. I gently wrap her arms around my neck and carry her to the bed. Her hair brushes against my cheek and I can smell her perfume. She smells like wild honey suckle. I lay her down on the bed gently take he glasses off her face, place them on the end table, grab the closets blanket and cover her up. Now that I am close to her I can see her natural beauty. Her brown curly hair, her full pink lips, her soft skin. I get up and head to my room before I do something else I'll regret. What is this girl doing to me I barely know her and here I am in her room taking her to bed.

Daisy's POV
My alarm goes off at 7 a.m. i must have fallen asleep when i turn the alarm off i realize I'm in bed and not at my desk. I dont remember coming to bed. Maybe uncle came by and tucked me in hes done it before when I've worked late and fallen asleep. Not dwelling on it anymore I go take a shower and get ready for my first day. I put on light makeup, mouse my wet curly hair and decide to wear one of the new outfits provided for me. I go with a floral pattern dress and pink flats. I get my manual and anything I thought I would need for the day and head to tge conference room. It's my job now to go over with everyone our new targets and it just so happens my first day we have a new one and a mission. I am the first to arrive so I get the computer running, and my tablet ready for the presentation. I hear someone come in I keep my head down at my tablet. Suddenly I feel a hand behind me on my hip, then a breath
"Good morning flower" I realize its eggsy and why he is standing so close to me I ignore him and continue to work
"Good morning egg head" the fact we have nicknames for each other secretly I find it cute
"You know I could hear you snoring all the way down to my room last night because you left your door open"
"Why were you any where near my room?"
"I have to go by it to get to mine"
"So what you like sneaking into women's room and watching them sleep" he chuckles
"Dont flatter yourself darling I was only there to close the door so i didnt have to hear your big ass mouth all night" I took my eyes at him thankfully harry and uncle come in before I can make another comment.

"Good morning everyone. Hope y'all slept well last night" eggsy chuckles to himself again, probably at my accent again I ignore him.
"Your new target..." I use the tablet to show the picture on the screen
"This is scientist Edgar Allen. According to my research he has been producing and selling illegal firearms to the middle east. He is also trying to invent a new weapon. Although I'm not sure what the weapon is capable at this time I do know he has to use rare jewels to power it. Just last night someone tried to break into the queens safe. Our mission is to find out what is in the safe and who's working for Edgar"
I can see by the look on Harry's face he is impressed with my first day. He nods his head.
"Thank you daisy. Now let's get the teams started Eggsy I want you with Tequila today while I stay here with Daisy since it's still her first day"
Eggsy nods his head.
"Oh you'll need these" I toss eggsy and tequila a pass to get into the queens safe.
"How the hell did you get these made?" Eggsy asks
"Not to bad for a dumb hillbilly am I right" he smirks and walks away. Uncle gives me a wink and they leave. I go to the base computers to monitor them. Harry sits down beside of me. I hope I don't embarrass myself on my first day.
