A New Feel

Chapter 18

It had been about 5 months since granny passed and Jazz, Myah and I were holding up pretty well. With some of my money I flew Ameelah back down to take my mind off everything. Jazz and Q were super busy fixing up their house the way they wanted so they stayed at granny's during construction. Myah hadn't come to granny's house but she knew it was hers she always had us meet at Kaydens house cuz she said it was still too painful. Ameelah had been her for five days already and I planned for her to stay for two months. I did my best to make sure Myah went to school through all of this but she ended up taking two weeks off but she's half way through the school year so I'm proud she's about to graduate. For the past couple days I been happy as hell thanks to Ameelah but I can't lie like I haven't had my lows. Ameelah has been there when I needed her most she has been my ear and my strength through this grieving process and I am so appreciative to have her. Today we woke up and decided to go shopping and put to eat so we got dressed and headed today until ihop for breakfast. As we waited for our food we talked and laughed about everything then I got up and kneeled in front of her and pulled out a ring. "Ameelah this is a promise ring, do you promise to be loyal, caring understanding and yourself each day we spend together and apart?". She replied smiling and crying and said "yes of course thank you so much" as she hugged me the restaurant cheered. We sat back down and ate and talked, I was so happy she  accepted my ring.

KAMYAH p.o.v
As long as it had been I still couldn't go into granny's house that was now mine. I pulled in front of the house many times but could never enter. Kayden and I were planning on fixing it up and making it a home for kids who were like me. I know granny would've wanted me to do sumin good with it so I did. Today we're goin to Home Depot tiger some paint and stuff to fix up the house. We were in there for like 3 hours getting hella shit to make the house pop. After leaving the store we headed to the house I felt like today was the day....I was gonna go inside. We pulled up and I sat in the car for a few minutes, then I got out got some bags and went in. It was like I could feel my grandmothers spirit in that house, she was everywhere.
Kayden: "you good baby" I turned to her and smiled "yes,I'm fine let's get to work. We worked until 12am fixing the floor boards and patching up holes, it was coming along nice. We call it a night and headed home.

*2 years later
We were finally finished with the Youth center I decided to leave the paint on the walls the same color too reminds me of granny. I knocked down a few walls and made multiple rooms to house the kids it was beautiful and right when you walked in it was a beautiful picture of me, Jazz, granny, and greg. I'm so proud of myself and I know she would've been proud too.

Kamyah POV
"Baby you ready to head to the center?"
Kayden- "yeah give me a sec making a messy bun"
"Ok I'll be in the car waiting" I walked outside and got in the car and started listening to cash shit by Megan thee Stallion. Kayden made her way to the car and we drove to the center, it was hard not calling it granny's house so excuse me if I slip up sometimes. We pulled up and walked in the house at the moment we only housed 2 kids who were 15 and they were girls. We always took them with us to the mall and stuff and had found them both jobs. Their names were Nyla and kyah, they were good kids when they wanted to be.
Nyla: " ooouu hey Kamyah girl you look cute asf what's the move today"
"Hey and thank you and we're going to do some community service at our local park"
Nyla: " come on I just got my nails did"
"Girl you'll be fine where is Kyah?" Nyla struggled her shoulders and started talking to Kayden as I made my way up the stairs. I walked in the room and there she was smoking weed I was in raged cuz I only had minor rules and she was the queen of breaking this one.
"Kyah how many times do I have to tell you not to smoke in the damn house? Go outside"
Kyah- " hey pooh sorry I forgot you look good enough to eat baby" she said with this dumb koolaid smile. I knew Kyah liked me cuz she was always flirting I told her to stop but it clearly doesn't work so I just ignore her.
"Thank you come on we're going to the park" I grabbed her and we walked downstairs.
Kayden- "there they arrrre looks like somebody been getting high"
Kyah- " oh hush" she said as they dapped each other up. We left out the house and headed to the park there were a lot of people pitching in and someone else was barbecuing. It was a nice event and as bad as the girls didn't want to come they had fun too. We cleaned up until 6pm and then after that we played games danced and had fun. We dropped the girls off at the center and went home when we got there Kayden and I too a shower together and kissed and loved on one another. Then I got a message from Kyah
Hey sexy I had fun today we should chill with out the crew next time I know you Lowkey want me cuz I high key want you💦I want all that Carmel ass on my face😻I could really fuck you up... xoxo
When I ready the message I instantly caught chills "what the hell is wrong with this kid" I thought to myself. I turned the phone off snuggled up with Kay and went to sleep.
