hunter's pov
"are you going to tell me what that was about?" I ask, looking at grayson. he let's out a sigh, "yeah." he says, putting his hands in his pockets. "kaylee's my ex." he starts. "we didn't date for long, maybe like two and a half weeks? because she'd try to rush everything, she was really clingy, and I don't like to talk about my business and job and she'd snoop around the house when I wasn't home, trying to find everything out."
"she came to my work one day, trying to surprise me with lunch but I got pissed. I never told her anything about it, so I was confused on how she knew where I worked. and I guess I figured out that she did snoop so we got into an argument. we kinda figured that out and then she started asking me questions about my business, which I hate, and then I noticed when we went out one night she'd say stuff like "you're rich you pay" "can you buy me this can you buy me that" it pissed me off. like I know it's something guys do for their girlfriends, but it was starting seem like she was using me, you know?"
I nod, looking down to his pocket as I reach inside it, intertwining our fingers and taking his hand out of his pocket, noticing he's starting to get pissed. he looks at me, the angry look on his face being replaced with a soft smile. "so I broke up with her and she never gotten over it I guess. she's done this before, with ethan's ex. she found out who he was dating and made friends with her, trying to get to me. I've also had to change my number multiple times because she always found a way to contact me."
"she's um...kinda-" grayson cuts me off, laughing a bit at the fact that I can't be mean, even to someone who was awful to me. "psycho?" he says. "uh- yeah." I say, feeling bad afterwards. "okay I'm too nice." I say, looking down. grayson laughs and stops us from walking, he turns towards me, pulling me closer to him.
"you're so adorable."

I furrow my eyebrows seeing cop cars outside of ethan and cara's house. "what the-" grayson says, cutting himself off before we both start running over, stopping dead in our tracks when we see kaylee being taken out of the house in handcuffs. we look back over to see ethan, cara and matt. we rush over to them, almost stopped by one of the officers but cara tells them it's okay.
"what's going on?" grayson asks for the both of us. "we tried to tell kaylee to leave but she wouldn't and she started going after ethan and matt, that's where matt got the scratch on his face." cara explains and I look over to matt to see a scratch on his one of cheekbones.
"then me and devyn managed to stop her from doing that and then she tried coming after me but devyn stopped her and they started fighting. kaylee grabbed a knife, so I called the cops and before they got here ethan managed to get the knife away from kaylee and matt had to hold her down until they got here." cara tells us.
"where's devyn though, is she okay?" I ask. "yeah, yeah she is. she's just talking to one of the officers." matt tells us. I turn around, my eyes meeting with kaylee as she's being put into one of the cop cars. she looks at the officer as she shut the door before looking back at me.
kaylee mouths something to me but I can't make out what she's trying to say. "ignore her, come on let's go inside." grayson says, turning me around and leading me back inside.
what did she say?
