Once upon a time, long, long ago... There was a Prince named Logan. Logan was the oldest son in the Royal family of Arcana. Arcana was a paradise, tall palm trees framed the houses and the royal palace. The sun seemed to always be out, with the elegant citizens of Arcana enjoying it! They all loved smelling the sea breeze from the beach barely a mile away. This kingdom was not perfect though, for Prince Logan had a big secret he was-
"I don't wanna go to this dumb ball mom!" Logan yelled at his mom.
"Too bad! You need to go to meet your new wife!" Logan rolled his eyes.
"How many times do I need to say this?! I don't want an arranged marriage!" It was the Queen's turn to roll her eyes, then snarl. Logan didn't need her to remind him of his obligations. It had been engraved in his memory from the first time he heard it as a small child and barely understood the meaning. But gosh did he not wanna get married. Sometimes, Logan wished he could run away and live his life freely. But no... he was a Prince, and Princes can't do that. Princes also can't be in love with their servants, especially not a man servant. But Logan wanted to do many things that society said was wrong. Loving Roman being one.
"Now Logan, I must go attend a meeting and Roman, help him get dressed!" The mother barked, then left the room.
"Yes your highness." Roman said bowing down but standing back up when she left. "Prince Logan, what would you like to wear?" The servant said solemnly.
"I told you Roman, Just call me Logan." He smiles. Roman smiles back
"Well Logan, what would you like to wear?"
"My cosplay" Logan replied. Roman sat there conflicted. He couldn't tell him no, but he also couldn't let him wear it or the Queen would not be pleased. "I'm kidding Roman, you look like you've seen a ghost. My dark blue sash with my white shirt, please" Logan answered with a smirk. Roman quickly nods and grabs the clothes and hands them to him. He turns away as Logan gets dressed. "You can look, Roman, I'm dressed" He turns around to see a very uncomfortable Logan.
"You look very handsome my Prince" He bows while blushing.
"Logan TIME TO GO!" Logan sighed hearing his mother call, he was not excited for this at all.
"COMING" He groaned "Bye Roman, have a good evening."
"Bye, Prince Logan" Logan leaves, leaving Roman in the room alone.
When Logan got downstairs he hunched over, frowned, and rolled his eyes. He was not happy about this. Not at all. He gets led to the carriage and gets in starting to play on his phone. The ride there was tense. Logan didn't mean to be rude but what was he supposed to do? Be a perfect Prince? No. Logan wasn't taught to be anyone but himself. A few minutes later they arrived at the Kingdom of Aria.
"Je vous remercie" He thanked the driver and he left the carriage. He sighed and walked into the ball to meet his new wife.
He stumbled into the court dreading what was to come.
"Ah Prince Logan! I'm King Arie, let's meet your new wife!" King Arie introduces himself. Logan plasters on a fake smile but you could see in his eyes how much he already hated the request to meet the Princess. He loved Roman, wanted to spend his life with him... not with this Princess. Logan however was a Prince. And Princes can't do that. He slouches over once the King wasn't looKing and rolled his eyes. Why is this a thing? He asked himself. Oh yeah. To make an alliance. He could feel the glare on the back of his head from his mother wanting him to act proper. He holds back a gag as he sees a lady with a fluffy pink dress, and long hair. Not at all his type. Logan was sure she was kind and sweet but just because someone was that doesn't mean Logan liked her.
"Greetings my Prince, I am Princess Alexandria" She bows as a greetings to her new fiance.
"Hello my Princess, I am Prince Logan '' Logan said as he tried to hide the boredom in his voice, but judging by the glare the Queen sent Logan, he didn't hide it well. Whatever, the Princess would know sooner or later that Logan didn't wanna marry her. Alexandria nods and takes the Royal's hand walking away with him.
Logan sighs in relief when the Chancellor announces that the ball is over. He walks out before his mother could say a word about his attitude. He smiles softly remembering Roman was waiting for him back home.
Once he arrived home and ran upstairs to Roman, hugging him the minute he was in his room
"That was terrible," Logan groaned. Roman rubbed his back comfortingly then stepped away.
"I'm sorry," Roman said. Logan responded by laying face first on his bed.
"Like the Princess was nice and stuff but, well, she was a Princess. I need a Prince" He groaned. He wanted to marry Roman, not this Princess of Arie. Maybe he could even run away with Roman...
"Logan, the marriage is in 3 days. Hope you like Princess Alexandria." The Queen says walKing in then leaving, not letting Logan protest at all. That was the last straw for Prince Logan. He grabbed a bag and started to pack everything away.
"My Prince, what are you doing?"
"Living my life the way I want it. And you are coming with" He smiles widely at Roman and swings his backpack over his shoulder. Roman however stood there shocked "Lets go"
"O-okay!" For once Roman sounded excited. He giggled in excitement, he was finally gonna get away from this horrible kingdom and be free with his crush! It was a dream come true! "How though? Your parents would never let us...""I don't care! Lets just wing it!" He was high on adrenaline bouncing on his feet smiling wide. Roman smiles too, this is the best day of his gosh darn life! It was happening he gets to run away with the man he loved to live happily forever!
"O-Okay!" He grabbed Logan's hands and squeezed them ready to leave. "Let's blow this popsicle stand. Logan took the servant's hand and pulled him to the hallway as he started to run to the exit.
Both were smiling widely. It felt too good to be true! They were almost at the exit, as they were turning the doorknob a gruff voice called out,
"And where do you think you're going?"
"Dad! Go away. I'm done being a puppet to you and mom. I'm running away and taking the man I love with me!" The King laughed
"Are you now? Guards take that... thing to the dungeon." He motioned to Roman with a look of disgust. About 5 guards came over and grabbed him. The servant cried out just wanting to leave these dreaded walls. Nevertheless the guards dragged him off into the basement... otherwise known as the dungeon.
"How could you dad?! I love him! I hate you! I HATE you!" Logan screamed in frustration. With that Logan ran upstairs to his room.
Once Logan was in his room he took the family photo of him, his mom, and his father and smashed it on the ground. He was leaving. And he refused to leave alone. This time however, he wouldn't be so reckless. He would be brave, for he had to be in order to save his love. He changed into his black shirt, black pants, black jacket, black beanie, and ski mask.
Logan waited until night when everyone was asleep as he packed his bag with food and money. The Prince tiptoes to the dungeon as he unlocked Roman's cage with a paperclip. You won't be here for long. He quietly woke Roman up. Roman thankfully stayed quiet knowing it was Logan and he was safe.
They grabbed each other's hands and a car and drove off into the sunset into the sunset to live out their dream. They never were in the Kingdom of Arcana again.
