6 - The Festival

*Natsuki's POV*

After Connor drop me off, I walk into the house. Before I entered, I saw papa's car is not at the drive way, so I'd consider he hasn't back home yet. When I reach my room, I decided to get some shower so I can just go to sleep. But after 10 minutes from my shower, papa comes home.

No, not again, NOT AGIAN! I'm so scared right now, I dunno what to do!! Then I decided to hide under the bed since it fits me perfectly. He comes into my room and smells like he's been drinking.

Dadsuki: Natsuki? My little girl? *hic*Where are you? Come*hic* out now...

I kept myself silent as papa went out of my room.

Dadsuki: If you don't come out then there will be no dinner tonight! *hic*
If you wanted then come out!

I don't make a response.

Dadsuki: Alright no dinner for you!

After he saying that, he slams the door shut . Good thing Connor had made me dinner just now or I will be starving.

I got out quietly and packs some of my stuff that's like my clothes so I can just grab it if I have to leave this house. If I leave, I hope that Connor will keep me in, he's really a nice person and I can rely on him. Both of us start to have feelings for each other, I hope I can confess to him at the festival.

After finishing keeping all my stuff, I lock the door and get some sleep. Before sleeping, I received a text message from Connor asking about how I'm doing. Maybe he is worried about me. That's actually sweet of him. After I'm done with the texting, I leave my phone on my table and drift off to sleep.

*Connor's POV*

Today it's the day, the festival. I give Suki a call.

Connor: Suki? You're wake?

Natsuki: Of course I am dummy. What do you want?

Connor: I just going to ask if you wanted me to pick up you with my car while on the way to school.

Natsuki: Sure I guess.

Connor: But I think you have to seat at the back.

Natsuki: Why? I wanted to seat with you.

Connor: I'm going to pick up Sayori first and let her seat in the front while the cupcakes are put in the back seat so she won't be able to steal some of it.

Natsuki: That's actually a good idea. I will be waiting at my front gate. Be sure to be fast, I don't want to be late.

Connor: Alright alright just hang in there.

I hang up the phone call.

I grab the cupcakes and put it in the back seat of my car. I drive out my car and stop at the place that I usually wait for Sayori. I honk at her when I saw her. She get in the car.

Sayori: Hi Connor! What makes you to takes the car today?

Connor: See the cupcakes behind there.

Sayori: Oh oh that looks delicious!

Sayori try to grab one as I stopped her.

Connor: This is for the club OK?

Sayori: OK ok jeez...

After I arrived at Natsuki's house, she get in the car and off we go to school. Surprisingly, I get to fine a car park at the school parking lot when I just got in. I parked the car and get the cupcakes to the clubroom.

As we entered the hallway, we see a lot of decorations on each of the clubroom and damn the hallway is real clean today. I think they really take this festival very serious.

As we entered the clubroom, we are greeted by Monika and Yuri.

Monika: Hi there Connor, Natsuki and Sayori!

Yuri: Hi you three!

I see Yuri is a bit happy today, maybe she is excited about the festival.

Connor: Hi there Monika and Yuri.

Natsuki: Hey guys.

Sayori: How y'all doin' ?

Monika: We are doing fine, thank you.

Monika is helping Yuri to put up the decorations while me and Natsuki help to set up the cupcakes. Sayori just prepare the poems we gotta read on the stage later on. I hope I won't be embarrassed by then.

It's 9am and the school P.A. system just announced the festival is officially started. The hallway started to fill with lots of students. People are started to coming in as well. Well, most of them are just here for the cupcakes.

All of us started to get busy and soon, the half of the clubroom is full of people. Suddenly, Monika clapped to get everyone's attention.

Monika: Okay, everyone! Welcome to our literature club! Please take seat first.

Everyone else take their seat.

Monika: Thanks for taking the time to visit us. I hope your enjoying yourselves right now. We are going to have the club member to recite their poems. The first one will be Sayori, our vice president. Let's give her a round of applause.

Everyone clapped.

*timeskip*

Monika: And last but not least, we have Connor.

Everyone gives me a clap.

Connor: Hi everyone. I'm Connor, I hope you all had enjoyed your time here. I'm going to recitey poem now, this my first time so please forgive me if I'm bad at this.

I start to recite my poem. It went better then the practice we did some time. I'm kind of proud. I've finished my poem and everyone gives me a clap.

Monika: Thanks Connor! Thank you everyone for taking your time to visit us. If you wanted to sign up and be apart of the literature club, you can line up there.

She pointed where Sayori stand. Most of the people just take a look and then leave. Some of Monika's fans and friends go talk to Monika.

After all that's done, Monika gathered us up.

Monika: You all did good today! Now let us go to spend time at the rest of the festival shall we?

We all leave the clubroom. Monika, Yuri and Sayori are going together while Natsuki and I are the remaining. This is the perfect time for me to confess to her. I've had feelings towards her for a long time and I wanted to confess to her.
