The following day, Jasmine got up early. She did so, so she could start breakfast. Little did she know her grandmother had been up for hours and had breakfast laid out on the table. "Nana. What are you doing up? I wanted to surprise you, with breakfast."
She glanced over the stove at Jasmine "I decided to surprise you. Besides, I wanted to talk."she placed the eggs on a platter.
Jasmine looked confused and shook her head. "Talk to me about what,Nana?"
She wasn't too pleased by the question. "I think, you already know."She nodded her head walking to the breakfast nook.
"Grandmother. Is this about Michael?" She smiled looking up at her. "Michael’s a guy. Just… a guy." She exclaimed proudly.
Her stare was disapproving. "No. He's not just some boy you've met. He's not a boy at all."
"Nana."Jasmine laughed picking up a slice of Bacon. "What do you think he is?This is Posterous."she giggled.
"That is a tone you know better than using. And the fancy words are meaningless. It's something that concerns me about him. And I would perfer you not see him,but I know in my gut I can't prevent that from happening. Promise me you'll becareful and watch him."
Jasmine laughed it off and asked how is it that she know she'll see him again. Her grandmother gave a feeble nod and a eccentric stare. "When do I not know things? I know this boy and I know my granddaughter is in-like with him. So smarty pants promise me you'll becareful."she protested holding on to the pancake plate.
"Okay, okay. I promise to watch him,Nana. Now can I please have some breakfast since I've agreed to your demands.
Her Nana laughed and folded three buttery pancakes on Jasmine's plate as she pulled another three slices of bacon.

"You changed your mind about the party?" Teesa asked looking through the large closet
Jasmine smiled nonchalantly "Well..."
Teesa gave her a you-better-tell-me stare before pushing her playfully. "What aren't you telling me?"
Jasmine giggled and laughed and looked with a sneakiness demeanor. "Guess who I saw last night."she opened the box full of costumes grinning from ear to ear.
"Girl if you don't stop with this puzzle. Tell me who!"she pulled out a pumpkin hat looking over at Jasmine. "Spill it!"
"I saw him!"she yelped walking over to the mirror pulling a nurse costume over her head.
"Him? Michael."she gasped. "Shut Up! Seriously? How? When? Where?" Tessa interrogated, Jasmine.
She grinned pulling the nurse's costume down, which stopped above her knees. "Well... Long story short. I went for a bike ride like I do when nana have bingo night, and he literally made me crash into a bush. But it wasn't on purpose."
Tessa walked over staring with judgemental eyes. "Did you and him...?"she paused Giving her a smirky stare.
"TESSA!!Oh My God!"she laughed. "Are you serious? Of course we didn't. I'm pure until the day I marry."
"I believe you. I guess. But I'm curious. Why the change of heart? You nearly tore my head off when I suggested you ask him out."Tessa turned up her nose at Jasmine's costume choice.
"Honestly, I think being ran off the road did put things in perspective for me. All of a sudden had courage when I saw him about to drive away. And I couldn't get what you said off of my mind. He's different and he sort of excites me. I don't know."she told her staring in the mirror.
