"Detective, we have another call. She says she's found a high schooler dead. In the same alley way that we found those other girls." My assistant Steve said walking into my office. I put my head in my hands. The first time we found a girl dead, it was treated as a homicide. Three days later, when we found the second girl, it was also treated as a homicide. After three more days another call. A girl in the same alley. Treated as first degree murder seeing how bad the injuries were.
"This can't be a coincidence." I said running my hands through my dirty blonde hair.
"I agree. Our team has already gone to the alley in question to look at the body.
"We either have a serial killer, or a few copy cat killers." I said grabbing the phone.
"That might be the case. Who are you calling sir?" Steve asked as I started dialing a number.
"It's has been twelve days. Four murders. We still aren't any closer. I think it's about time we call the kids in." I said as the principal of the high school picked up.
"This is Principal David of Liberty High." He said.
"Hello principal. This is Detective Adams from the police department. I need to ask a favor of you."
"Yes, detective Adams what can I help with."
"My assistant Steve is heading over to the school." I said. "He's going to walk into the entrance of the school and wait. I need you to send out six students to him sir." I said as Steve nodded and walked out.
"Of course and who might they be?"
"Olivia Grace, Nova Lee, Hailee Thompson, Phoenix Anderson, Jakob King and Nico Williams. Tell them to bring all their things with them. They won't be returning to school today but we will make sure they get home safely." I said. It was 9 in the morning. First period was ending in half an hour.
"Of course sir. I hope you are aware we must call their parents though."
"Of course. Thank you. Have a nice day Principal." I said and hung up the phone.
Nova Lee P.O.V
Only about half an hour to go. Then Olivia, Hailee and I could get out of our stupid trigonometry class. The phone rang and just like in elementary school, everyone automatically thinks that the phone is for them.
"All three of them? Sir, are you sure that's what he asked?" My teacher Ms. Garcia asked. "Well if you're sure. I'll send them to their lockers then to the entrance hall." She said hanging up the phone.
"Was it for me Ms. Garcia?" Natalie the most popular girl in school asked.
"Nova, Olivia, Hailee, early dissmisal. Go get your things. Then to the entrance hall. No pass necessary." She said. Hailee and I looked at each other and grabbed our things walking out of the Trig room we saw our three other friends Nico, Jakob and Phoenix walking out if the library for study hall.
"You three as well?" Hailee asked as we waited for them. Phoenix walked over to me and kissed the top of my head.
"Does anyone know what we're being called for?" Nico asked as we walked to the lockers that we hall have near each other. Olivia giggled.
"Guys, there have been three murders. Three days apart. In the same alley. We solved the recent string of kidnappings." She said unlocking her locker. "Adams probably wants our help."
"She's probably right." I said as Phoenix held our stuff because we share the same locker. I grabbed the rest of my books and put them in my computer bag and let Phoenix get his stuff. We were still waiting on him.
