"You WHAT?" Katherine yelled through the phone. I winced at the volume in her voice. "Katherine, he made me an offer I couldn't refuse." I sigh, having told her I made a deal with the devil, as in Klaus Mikaelson. "Lena, do you know what he'll do? He will end us!" She says lowly. "Katherine," I start in a calming voice. "He offered me your freedom." I finish. I heard clatter from the speaker, and she muttered a sorry. "Where are you?" She asks. "I'm at his apartment, or someone's apartment, but you cannot tell the others, they'll surly try and screw with my plan." I explain. "I'm skipping town, I don't trust him one bit." She says. "I understand, Kat, I'll see you soon." I sigh. "I'll see you soon." She says and we end the call. "I suspect that was Katerina." Klaus comments, leaning against the doorway with a glass in his hand. I roll my eyes and shove my phone into the pocket of my jeans.

I walk up to Klaus and snatch his drink right out of his hand. I throw him an evil smirk and a wink, bringing the glass to my lips before walking away.

"You know, that isn't even my bourbon." He comments as I let the rest of the liquid slide down my throat. I jump up and fall down onto the couch so that I was laying down. "I know, I just don't care." I shrug and he laughs. "This is gonna be one long decade." He sighs in amusement. "Just don't go all hybrid on me and rip my throat out." I chuckle and he shoots me a playful smirk. "No promises, evil one, no promises." He says and I sigh. "You're right, this is gonna be a long decade." I sigh and put a pillow over my head.

"Rise and shine, my gorgeous ally, it's time to begin preparations." Klaus wakes me, his face beaming with excitement. "you Originals seem like an oddly chipper bunch." I comment with a groan, lifting myself off the couch I'd been napping on. "Now let's not be too hasty, Lena, I assure you, we are all quite chipper until someone inevitably angers us, then we become ruthless and vicious monsters." He gives me a bright smile. "I'm just glad I'm not on your shit list." I comment as I stand up, looking over my black jeans and my black tank top. I'm missing something, something I'd left at the boarding house when I went back earlier to see if anything had changed after I saw Klaus... it hadn't.

"Hand me your jacket." I say, pointing at the jacket that rested over Klaus' body. "Why?" He cocks an eyebrow in confusion. "Just let me see it." I huff. "Will you be quiet if I let you see the bloody jacket?" He asks, an annoyed tone lacing his voice. "I swear it, now please." I give him a huge grin and he rolls his eyes, and I make a mental note to either stop by the Salvatore's later or remember to pick up another one. Until then, I'll just wear his. He shrugs it off his shoulders with a groan, and I continue grinning at him like the Cheshire Cat. He hands over his jacket with a roll of his eyes. I gladly take the jacket, and slip it on, his eyes narrowing in confusion. "My look is never complete without a leather jacket, you and I both know it. Now come on, better not be late for your own hybrid debut." I smirk and he rolls his eyes. "Believe me, I'm well aware on the thinning timeline for tonight's full moon. I've waited a thousand years for this moment, and I'll finally be rid of the damned curse my wretched mother inflicted upon me." He sighs, leading me out the door. The sun was just beginning to sink over the western mountains in the distance, and I find myself thinking back to my time in the old west, during the gold rush in 1853 out in Nevada. I could almost still feel the hot wind blowing through my hair as I rode horseback to witness the history for myself.

"Lena, love, you're daydreaming." Klaus snaps his fingers in front of my gaze at the sun, and I slightly jolt out of it. "I do not daydream." I rebuttal, getting into the passenger seat of the car he had, probably stolen, no doubt.

"You Just were." He fires back, a teasing smirk gracing his lips. "Whatever, you have a curse on you, so ha!" I chuckle, and he rolls his eyes. "Hexed, big bad Klaus Mikaelson was hexed!" I tease, laughing away while he only grew irritated. "You're pushing the wrong man, Love." He sighs. "I'm pushing a cursed man!" I laugh hysterically, enjoying that I was annoying him and there was nothing he could do about it. "Ha ha." He mocks sarcastically. "Seriously, I hope your ego doesn't grow even more once this curse is broken. As if having a hybrid roaming the streets wasn't bad enough, we'll have an egotistical hybrid ass walking around." I sigh, crossing my legs while I gaze over at Klaus, who had a smirk on his lips.
