When I finally walk out of the restroom Steve and Ray are sitting at one of the tables playing cards.
Ray looked up "Damn Girl you look like you're busting out of that dress"
"You're just jealous that you ain't got all of this" I say motioning at my hips
Though it may not seem like it, Ray and I have been friends since pre-k. We've always been there for each other. When he offered me this job I accepted it immediately, I was eager to move out of my parents house and start my own life.
"By the way, Kai and I have plans tonight so I need to leave early."
Ray rolls his eyes,"You still with that nigga."
Damn why is he always giving me problems
"First of all don't call him that, and yes I'm still with him and it's going to stay like that" I say confidently
"No offense but I just don't understand what you see in that Kite kid"
"His name is Kai." I yell while walking to the front of the club.
"Yeah, yeah." Ray murmured

Steve and I go over to the people in line . My mouth drops when I see how many people are waiting in line.
Why is there so many damn people?
Ray strolls over to us and puts his hand on both our shoulders "See guys I told you adding those strippers to the club was going to bring in a bigger crowd"
"Yeah a bigger crowd of creeps" I say as I shrug off his hand
"Let the people in." Ray winks and walks back in the club
I unhook the velvet barrier and start letting people in, checking ID's occasionally.
"You really need to lighten up." Steve whispers in my ear
"I agreed to work at a club not a strip club." I hiss back
The last person in the line is a white boy who looks 16 at the most.
Steve bends down "How many times do I have to tell you, don't come back again or I'll handle you myself"
The boy doesn't look up at Steve, he just stares straight at me then runs away.
"That kid is so fucking creepy." Steve says shaking his head
"Yeah" I say confused
Why does he keep coming back though?
