Saihara watched in hope as the mastermind, Tsumugi Shirogane, or Junko the 53rd was executed once more. He look at all of his friends, Maki, Kaito, Keebo, and Himiko. But to the navy haired boy's surprised, Kokichi looked relaxed, happy, and hopeful.

Kaito looked at the rest of his fellow classmates with a bright smile, "Do you think we all should look around this old place before we leave?" Everyone, including Kokichi, nodded. The rest of them split up, with Shuichi and Kokichi the only ones left in the room.

As the tall boy was walking away, Kokichi grabbed his wrist. Shuichi was surpirsed by this, looked back at the smaller male with his eye brow raised. "What do you want, Kokichi?" The taller asked. Kokichi looked down at the ground with a dull yet guilty expression on his face. "I need to talk to you for a second. I promise I will tell the truth."

Shuichi sighed, and gave into the small boy. Kokichi let go of his wrist, and looked up at him. "I think it's time that I tell you what I really wanted this whole time.", Kokichi continued, "I never liked the killing game. In fact, I hated it. Every death and every execution, I felt as if my sanity was drifting away from me, I couldn't show my true self or else I would be seen as a target."

Shuichi was in disbelief. He really didn't want to be in the killing game? He was lying to save himself? "I never wanted to be the reason to kill Gonta. I had to lie to all of you, to make you all hate me so I could end the killing game in.. a way." Kokichi started to tear up, and his throat started to ache. "I had to lie to myself, to make myself think this game was fun so I wouldn't break down in tears and soil my plan to save you guys.."

"I'm sorry, Shuichi. I really am."

The taller looked down at Kokichi, with sympathy written on his face. He pulled him into a hug, as Kokichi sobbed into his shoulder. As minutes passed, Kokichi had stopped crying and wiped his tears off his face.

Shuichi smiled at him, and lifted his chin for Kokichi to look up at him. "Hey, Kokichi, it's okay. I forgive you." Kokichi smiled back at him, with determination in him soul. "Thank you, Saihara. How about we start over so you can get to know the real me?"
