Izuku's POV
It's been a week since I graduated and tonight me and Shoto have decided to tell my mother about our relationship.My anxiety skyrocketed as the time came for the dinner to begin I paced in my room already thinking of my mother's possible reactions to the news of my relationship with my former teacher.I jumped as I heard the doorbell ring signaling that Shoto was here.I swiftly closed my door behind me and almost ran done stairs to see Shoto giving me a small smile before talking to my mother in a slight whisper.I tilted my head in confusion before getting a wave from my mom to come to the table.
"How have you been doing Midoriya,"Shoto asked me, I look at him before speaking my mind not processing him calling me by my surname.
"Uh ya I'm doing pretty good thank you Todoroki,"I said and I could tell it felt foreign to him for me to call him by his surname too.
"Anyway Todoroki I hear your quitting, why?"my mother asked making me keep my gaze on Shoto as I to didn't know why he was quitting.
"Oh well I've found a company that has requested for me and so I've decided to be an assistant for the company because of the higher pay,"he explained and I looked at him, confused at why he would chose a job that can pay him better, there has to be another reason...
"u...Izuku!"I hear my mom yell at me making me jump almost falling off my chair in the process.
"W-What?"I said with confusion and fear washing over me before seeing my mothers concerned face."What'd you say mom?"I asked after I grabbed my bearings.
"I was wondering if you were okay, you spaced out!"she exclaimed making me chuckle slightly before waving my hands from side to side trying to clear up the concern.
"Sorry, I'm okay I was just thinking,"I said before looking at Shoto seeing his eyes shine with determination as he gave me a small nod and I knew what this meant.I was going to have to tell my mother I am in a relationship with Shoto."Uh so mom I have something to tell you..."I start to say before looking over at Shoto for reassurance which was in the form of a small smile that was visible only to me.I smiled back and started again."...Me...and Todo-...Shoto are dating!" I blurted out feeling a blush rise up at the embarrassment of the situation.
"I know,"I heard her say making me look up at her with disbelief shining in my expression.
"What?"I asked disbelief crossing through my words as I stared at her dumbfounded.
"I knew...it's pretty obvious..I mean Izu you look much happier when you look at him then you look at me I mean it's like he's the love of your life,"she says before chuckling, I cringed at this before feeling Shoto's hand grip my chin and kiss me.I gasped before melting into his touch as we both ignored our surroundings and the sudden squeals and clicks that were heard were my mom stood.I pulled away before blushing and looking away trying to hide my face of any traces of my embarrassment.I looked over at my mother to see her lips curling into a big smile as she clicked another picture at the position we were in."I accept your relationship, no matter what I'll always accept it besides it's to damn cute to see you so flustered Izuku,"my mother chuckled making me blush even more.
"Damn right!"Shoto agreed with a grin shinning on his face.I groaned as I started to regret even telling my mother about our relationship.
And from then on Izuku's mother has fangirled every time Izuku or Shoto do anything romantic(says a narrative voice from out of the blue)
