Soon Lydia was attacked... by a shark... her arm was gone and a part of her board was missing. Alana screamed as Bethany yelled, LYDIA! Dad! Alana yelled causing him to yell back and start swim to her with Bryon, Alana! Shark! Her and Bethany yelled. Bryon looked at all the red blood realizing Lydia is dying.

I need to get to the beach. Lydia said with Holt saying, Oh, God! Dad, where's the shark at? Bryon asked and Holt said, We need to get to the reef! Just get to the reef. The four swam back helping Lydia to swim back. Holt said, Keep on the board, keep on the board. They got to the reef and Holt said, Byron, you get to shore! Go! Go! Call 911!

Holt took off his surf shirt to try and slow down the bleeding and Bethany said, It's going to be okay, Lyd. Holt said, Come on. Ready, you two? Let's go.
Push, push, push. Stay with us, sweetie, okay? Stay with us. Lydia tried to pray, Please, Jesus. Please...

Alana, Bethany, you keep her on the board. Okay. They said. Holt said, On the board. Please get me to the beach. Please. Lydia asked and Holt said, You're going to be okay! Come on!

All right, here we go. Doctor Rovinsky, we need this room stat! It's a teenage girl from the North Shore.
Shark attack. Tom eyes went wide knowing the girls went surfing there, he asked Who? Who is it? I'll check it out, Tom. I'll check it out. David said.

Stay with me, Lydia! As they got her onto shore Bethany still nervous was trying to help, Alana puked and Holt yelled, Alana! Get over here! Alana cried as she said, I can't.

Morning, Mom. Noah said going to the fridge and she was reading papers and asked, When did you go night surfing? Night surfing... the phone was calling and Cheri answered.

Soon the moved Lydia onto Holt's board. All right. All right, sweetheart. Ambulance is coming, all right? I want my mom. Lydia asked and the response was a bit fuzzy and echoing as he said, I know. We're gonna get your mom.

Wait, wait, wait. What? Cheri asked and dropped it when she heard it one more time and as she ran Noah asked, Mom? Byron ran down and said, Dad! I called 911! I called her mom. Okay, okay, okay. Grab the foot of the board. Okay? Grab it, on the count of three. Ready? One, two, three! Go, go, go, go, go!

They started to take her up as Bethany and Alana were on the sides and Holt was at the front and Bryon was on the end. Take her up to the truck! Let's get her up there right now! Come on. Talk to me. Watch your step right here! What your step right there! Where's the ambulance, Dad? They're not here yet! Don't worry about the ambulance! Her best friends crying and sister's frightened face. Her boyfriend had a worried face as his dad had a frightened one

The voices of them went through her head as she stared up in the sky weakly. We'll meet it on the way!
Alana, get the board! Byron said. Get her up! All right. Get up, get up there! Holt said to Byron and once the three kids and Lydia were in there he closed the back and left the beach.

Lydia, can you hear me? Oh, my God. Alana said. Lydia! Bethany said. She's losing a lot of blood, Dad!
Byron said worried for his girlfriend and he said, All right, I see the ambulance. Here it comes! They raised their hands and as the ambulance stopped and Holt's truck stopped they all got out and the paramedic said, Who are you, sir? Family friend. She's her sister. He said pointing to Bethany.

Do you know if she hit her head or ever lost consciousness? No, she never passed out, but she's lost a lot of blood. He said and the paramedic said, Here we go! Careful! Easy. Okay, lock her in. You, please come with me he said to Bethany.

Please don't die. Alana said to Lydia who was weak as hell Come on, come on, come on, sweetie. Holt said and as Cheri and Noah were driving they saw the paramedics and Holt's truck and she knew Lydia was in that Ambulance. Please don't take her! Please don't take her. Please don't take her. Cheri cried out.

Tom, it's Lydia. Tom fought knowing one of his daughters might die. David said, No, no! No! Get me out of here! Get me out of here! Tom said and David said, No. Come on. You can't move. Just let me get out of here! Tom said and David said, You can't walk! Get me out of here! Tom said and David yelled No!

Bethany held her hand as the Paramedic said, Talk to me. Gotta stay with me. Keep looking at my eyes, okay? Where's my family? Lydia asked and he said, They're on their way. They're gonna meet us at the hospital.

She's going into hypovolemic shock. We're almost there. He put a breathing mask on her saying, Breathe deep. Bethany had tears and soon got there. The ambulance doors opened and Holt's car stopped and Cheri stopped immediately causing Noah to yell,
Mom, the car! Stay with me. The paramedic said.

Cheri, it happened so fast... Holt said but she ran pass him and the paramedic said, Traumatic amputation. Severe loss of blood. I'm here, baby, I'm right here. Blood pressure 70 over 40 and dropping.
I'm right here. Her mom said.Up, up! Get her in here. Move! Come on! Follow it back. Let's go! Stay with us! Alana hugged her dad as the Hamilton family and doctor ran in.

Hang in there. Lydia, you'll be okay! Noah yelled. They were losing her. What's happening? Get her in a bed. Move her into bay three! Her dad tried to see her but it was hard that he couldn't walk. Come on, Lydia. Stay with us, stay with us. What's happening? Lydia!
