Birthday Gift

Chapter 1

It was November 24, 2073 and the usually empty Den was occupied by the 1st Unit and Shio talking about something.

"Shia's birthday is coming up!" Shio exclaimed. Everyone nodded in response.

"We have roughly 5 days left if we're gonna prepare something." Alisa said and Shio continued "I have an idea!"

Sakuya looked at her confused while Lindow was interested along with Kota. "I think I know what Shio is thinking.." Julius showed up. "It's pretty obvious!" Sei exclaimed excitedly.

"Let's hear it then Shio." Lindow said brightly.

"Do you know Shia's crush?" Everyone shrugged except for Alisa.

"Which reminds me.... I don't even know what she saw in him..." Alisa, then, sighed. "She told me about it but then ahahahaha I can't even.." Sei continued.

Lindow looked at Sakuya and Sakuya nodded. Kota was the only one left clueless.

"Oh I think we know that guy." Lindow said and facepalmed. "This is going to be hard."

-ON THE OTHER HAND-

Soma was about to devour the Vajra's core when suddenly he sneezed. "Someone's talking behind my back huh..." It didn't bother him and devoured the core.

Shia's POV

I was in my room, rolling on my bed, bored. It was my day off and I don't know what to do. "I wanna drink some iced coffee." I got up from my bed and wore a cream colored, off shoulder sweater and went out to get a drink. When I got out I immediately went to the vending machine. "Coffee...." Everything was a blur. I can't see a thing. My hand went through my head and I didn't find my eyeglasses. "Tell me this is a dream.." I squinted my eyes and looked closer at the glowing buttons of the vending machine. "Where the heck is coffee...."

Then I heard the sound of the elevator. 'Lucky... Whoever shows up, I'll just ask him/her to help me' then the person walked up to me.

Soma's POV

It was afternoon when I finished my mission so I decided to take a rest and get another mission. When I arrived at the Veteran's section I saw that rookie who recently became a leader. She was squinting her eyes, looking at the buttons of the vending machine. "Coffee.. Coffee..." I heard her mumble. She looked like she was having a hard time looking for it. Also, I noticed that something was off. I studied her face and she was not wearing any pair of glasses. Not that I pity her but she get headaches when she takes off her glasses for a long time and I don't want to carry her to the sick bay. Its troublesome so I pressed the button that says 'coffee' and left.

Normal POV

Shia heard the button being pressed and she got her drink. She grabbed the person's hand and to her displease it was Soma. "Ummm Hey Soma.. Thanks for the coffee" Shia said in a gentle voice. Her face was heating up but her blush was just light and it's not that obvious because of her fair complexion. Soma just 'hmph-ed', shook her hand off and went back to his room. "Oh well she sighed and went back to her room and she stepped on her glasses. "Ow! What the frick was that.... Oh gosh NOOOO MY GLASSES!!!" She screamed and sulks in a corner.

-on the other hand-

Soma was actually flushed when he saw what Shia was wearing. When he went inside his room he couldn't stop himself mutter "cute" and it disgusts him in some way. After that he heard her shout "NOOOO MY GLASSES!!!" and he snickered. 'She must've stepped on her own glasses'
