Your POV
"J-Jinyoung?" You stammer as he lets go of you, allowing you to straighten yourself. "It's been so long! I haven't seen you since our college days!"
Jinyoung laughs, nodding in acknowledgment, his smile warm but brief.
Park Jinyoung. Your college friend from a few years ago who left without so much as a goodbye. It had hurt back then. He was your only friend, and, although you hated to admit it, your first love. He'd definitely grown, no longer the shy, unassuming guy you remembered. He was taller now, even more so with the heels you were wearing. His perfectly shaped lips and nose still caught your attention, just as they did back in college. It wasn't even an exaggeration to say that, in your eyes, Jinyoung was more attractive than Yugyeom.
You and Jinyoung chat for a few minutes, catching up, until he glances at his watch and his face shifts. You notice his brow furrowing, and the way he tilts his head slightly to the left—an old habit of his whenever he was confused or caught off guard.
"It's been that long?" he mutters, mostly to himself but loud enough for you to hear. You smile, amused by his expression, and he looks up to return the smile.
"You're probably busy. Sorry for keeping you," you say, but Jinyoung immediately shakes his head, his expression serious.
"It was just a short chat. I shouldn't be leaving so soon, not after we've just caught up," he says, almost as if he's convincing himself, causing you to chuckle.
"It's not very gentlemanly of me, huh? Let me make it up to you, okay?" His words make your cheeks flush, and for a moment, you consider fanning yourself, even though you know it'd be unnecessary.
Jinyoung shoves his hands into his pockets, his focus narrowing as he looks for something. After a brief search, he pulls out a pen that had been hanging loosely from the collar of his white blouse. With a quick flick of his wrist, he uncaps it with his mouth and scribbles something down.
Before you realize it, he takes your hand gently, placing a small piece of paper in your palm. Your heart races at the contact—his touch sending a warmth through you.
When he steps back, ready to leave, he waves and flashes a smile. Then, with a slight tilt of his head, he mouths two words.
"Text me."

Finally back in your office, you're left in peace to focus on your work. You open your laptop and begin typing away, fully focused in all the tasks you have to do. That is, until a voice calls out.
"Yooha!"
You were so focused on your work that you hadn't realized someone had entered your office. You blink a few times and raising an eyebrow, noticing Jackson standing near the doorway, clearing his throat and pointing behind you.
You follow his finger, turning to see the clock on the wall. You quickly spin back around and check the time on your laptop: 6 PM. The workday had ended long ago, and Jackson, ever the concerned colleague, was simply trying to make sure you left on time.
"Need a ride?" he asks, his voice laced with genuine care.
You shake your head and smile. "No, I'm fine. Thanks for offering, though. You should head home now."
Jackson returns the smile, then waves as he turns to leave your office. You gather your things and stand up to follow, but before you can step out, your phone chimes with a new message.
Jinyoung:
Hey, can you meet up with me at
a place?Yooha:
I don't see why not?Jinyoung:

You're still as stubborn as ever.Jinyoung:
I'll be waiting for you
You smile at his texts. There was no denying the charm in his messages, but something about the location he sent makes you feel a little uneasy. You push the feeling aside, though. Once you're home, you debate on what to wear. After sending a quick text to your father letting him know you're heading out, you quickly pick out an outfit. A simple off-the-shoulder nude blouse with jeans. You let your hair hang loosely and pop in a pair of pearl earrings before grabbing your phone and purse.

You arrive at Jinyoung's dorm, straightening your hair and dusting off your jeans to make sure you don't look too messy. With a deep breath, you knock on the door. It swings open almost immediately, revealing Jinyoung with a wide smile on his face.
"Yooha! You made it!" he exclaims, stepping aside to let you in.
You pause, realizing why the location Jinyoung sent felt so familiar. You'd been to this apartment several times during college, where you'd study together and help each other prepare for exams. However, something felt different tonight. You couldn't shake the feeling that Jinyoung wasn't living alone. As you step inside, you hear loud voices from the kitchen—five others who were laughing and talking all at once.
