MEANT TO BE

Ch 1

So I'm going to start after Prerna signed the contract with Mr.Bajaj. Now Anurag is out of jail.

It was around 6 in the evening. Anurag was back home from the jail and everyone was really happy. They had arranged dhols and decorated the Basu Bari as if it was Diwali. The Sharmas were also present in Basu Bari. They were all dancing and were elated when Mohini realized that Prerna was nowhere to be seen from the afternoon. The last she saw her was in the court. She got worried and asked Anurag about her whereabouts but he had no clue. Everyone got tensed. Anurag and Anupam decided to go look for her. Even Shekhar and Mahesh joined them. They went to the court first but could get no information about Prerna. They enquired their lawyer if he knew anything about Pre but only got disappointed. Then he checked with Anjali as Pre had wanted to meet her since the past few days but couldn't due to obvious reasons. He asked her if she knew where his Pre was but got no idea. He fell on the ground and started to cry. Anupam, Shekhar and Mahesh consoled him. After about 10 minutes he calmed down and asked them what happened in the past three days. They told him about Pre going to Mr. Bajaj and everything that happened. But he noticed there was something Anupam didn't tell him. He could make out just by Anupam's body language that he was hiding something. In the past few months they had grown way too close. How Anupam made Anu realise his feelings for Pre , how he helped him to fight with Naveen Babu and supported him when Komolika made his life hell was something that made Anu realise that there was a deep, emotional and practical Anupam behind the jolly man who always hid his stress and worries with his humour. He asked Anupam if he knew anything more but he just denied. Then he asked Shekhar and Mahesh to go home and look after the ladies.
Then he took Anupam in the car and begged him to tell what he was hiding. After few minutes of pleading and requesting Anupam decided to tell Anurag what he hid from him and why.
What he told Anurag blew off his mind. He just started the engine and rushed somewhere.
