As I helped my father clear away the food containers there was a knock at the door.

"Excuse me, CEO Choi." A feminine voice chimed from behind the thick door. My father whipped his head to the door and grimaced.

"I said not to disturb me," His voice was laced with irritation and slight malice: Jeeze, hot head.

"Yes, CEO. I am so sorry," The secretary's voice went up an octave. "Still, it is BigHit Entertainment on the line. Their management says it's urgent and in regards to the merg-." He cut her off before she could continue.

"Very well. Put them on the line in exactly one minute," He tapped his chin in thought. "Also advise Seo-Yeon to notify the driver to take Hana home," He commanded in Korean as he sat behind his desk.

"Yes, CEO. And which home? Gangnam or the countryside?" His brows furrowed and he looked towards me. He was tilting his head to the side in contemplation. "In Gangnam at the apartment. Hana needs to be near me at this time. You are dismissed thank you." Feet shuffled on the other side of the door. I bowed and headed towards the door.

"Hana, not you. I want to tell you something before you go," I turned around, slightly embarrassed. So he wasn't dismissing me? Yeah, I have to brush up on my Korean.

"Yes, sir?" I asked.

"I do love you, and I am proud of who you are. We will get through this," I nodded and bowed once more. "Rest well."

"Thank you. I love you too, ahbuhjee (father)." I genuinely meant those words. We had not been very close, but I was sincerely grateful to have a father who cared enough to make an effort.

I met Seo-Yeon outside of his office, and we silently entered the elevator. It wasn't awkward, and I felt like she was attempting to give me space. I appreciated it. Everything was happening pretty fast. I did take notice of the large folder cradled in her arms. It looked heavy and appeared to hold more than a company briefing, details for etiquette lessons, a language tutor, and personal trainer information.

When we made it to the first floor Seo-Yeon spoke first.

"How are you, Miss Hana?" She quizzed, walking by my side.

"I am better, actually," I turned my head and offered her a smile. "Thank you Seo-Yeon." She smiled broadly at me in return.

I could hear people in the lobby chatting away louder than when we first entered the tower. It was also more security present throughout the building. My eyes roamed to the upper floors and shops to the sides of me. When I looked forward it was too late.

I slammed smack-dab into the muscular chest of a man.

My phone went flying out of my hand, and my body fell backward. I squinted my eyes preparing for my backside to meet hard marble, but instead strong arms gripped me around the waist and pulled me forward. I looked up to a pair of dark brown eyes, and I gasped. They were so intense and dark. The rest of his face was hidden behind a black mask, long brown bangs, and a black leather cap.
