It has been a rough couple of days. I try so hard to make friends with all the people at my school but I just can't seem to fit in. Luckily enough I made a new friend, a friend for life, Olivia, the only person who really genuinely talked to me and introduced me to mathletes and academic decathlon. She has a somewhat soft light olive skin with a touch of freckles and red hair. We are inseparable, she's my bff.

"Stop starring." Olivia says. "I'm not starring, I'm just looking at the view. A nice, dreamy, clear as day, honey glazed -" "You know there's a rumour that they're gonna break up right." Olivia says as she grins at me as I wake up from my trance before I could finish my slurred sentence. "That's not gonna happen, it's our final year, so why would they break up if they've been together for 2 and a half years. And homecoming is this weekend, we have to prep for mathletes and let's no forget to mention, IM THE NEW NERDY KID!" "You're being ridiculous. Plus, that relationship is more of a one sided imagine thing if you ask me. And, people love you and your sweet open personality unlike she who shall not be named." Olivia laughs. "I mean, yeah I guess. At the end, we shouldn't just measure our life and love life in years and experiences but the feelings it brings us."

As we walk out of the door, I glance and smile at him and he smiles back. That is one big mistake. Camila sees and I quickly pace myself to the bathroom. "I'll meet you outside or at the mall, I need to go to the toilet." I say to Olivia in a rush. "Girl, you okay? I haven't know you that long but you've been going to the toilet a lot the past couple days." She says in a curious tone. "I know, I'll text you though." I quickly dashed to the toilets.

I enter the toilets and as soon as I was about enter a stall she catches me. "Stop stealing my man!" Camila says with her popular clique standing beside her. "I didn't steal your man! I never did." I replied. "Yes you are! My relationship is falling a part because of you! Little miss perfect with perfect grades, face, house." She holds to ever so tightly to my wrists as her other hand points to my face. Water builds in my eyes. "Oh, is little miss perfect going to call her daddy, Mr hotshot lawyer who's engaged to some young so called entrepreneur." She tries to belittle me. Yes I moved and yes my dad's engaged to someone young, but she's very smart and although she's more like a sister than a mother to me, we adore each other. "You don't know my life. AND I NEVER STOLE YOUR BOYFRIEND."  I whisper aggressively as I try to hold back my tears. Camila, vein offended, slaps and shoves me against the wall and I slowly fall down and cry. I message Olivia saying that she can buy my accessories for homecoming and surprise me.

Shawn's pov.

I wait for Camila outside the toilets wanting to leave before the rain starts to become more intense. There conversation is pretty loud might I add. And if I'm being completely honest, we broke up just before summer started but somehow Camila convinced me that what we are destined to be together. Together, I keep thinking to myself, I feel like that word has another meaning to me now. I can clearly see Camila and I together forever as friends, that's because of the new girl Madiha. There's something about her, we have barely spoken to each other but there's something about our acquaint togetherness that makes me want more. I hear a thud and a slap making me snap back to reality with Camila walking out of the toilets furiously. "Come on babe, lets go." She says and she quickly tugs my hand as I hear a cry echo before the toilet door closes. "What happened in there?" "Nothing, the new girl slipped. Now, lets GO! So I can get my nails done before the weather worsens." She grips to my hand even tighter, my mouth left slightly open and I hear the cry even louder even with doors shut changing the sentence I was going to say out loud. "No. We're done. I don't know what has gotten into you but we're done." "Shawn you're being ridiculous. And by done you mean with school for the day, right?" She says in a curious and breathy tone. "We're done as in we're done for good. I want to break up. We should've remained broken up to begin with." "But Shaaaaawn, what about homecoming? And our popularity?" She whines. "Are you serious right now? I don't get what's up with you, the only time you were this clingy and obnoxious and jealous was in the beginning of our relationship. And now that you mentioned popularity makes me want to break up with you even more. Gosh, why can't you be like Madiha." I say feeling guilty yet relief flowing through my body. "I KNEW IT!" "Knew what?" "SHE STOLE YOU! EVER SINCE SHE CAME TO TOWN BEFORE SCHOOL STARTED YOU'VE BEEN EXCHANGING HIDDEN GLANCES WITH EACH OTHER! And you know what! I'm going to tell everyone that I BROKE UP WITH YOU!" She walks off clicking her heels with her clique and the toilet doors open.
