The grand scheme

We think of earth as an atom, less than that, we think if it as something so miniscule in the universe that it hardly even exist. The universe is so large that it is absolutely incomprehensible to even think of the size, because there is no size, the universe is infinite, everything is everywhere. No matter where you look in the sky, your not just looking into the stars and the blackness of our galaxy. Your looking outside of our little galaxy, inti the infinite system called space. Some get existential dread from knowing how miniscule this place is in the grand scheme of things. Which is understandable, as humans we mostly focus on our own lives and the people in it every single  day, but those moments we think about the intensity and the intimidating largeness the universe has for us, all we see is how small we are. And indeed we are small, but in our own way we are also big. Right now you are somewhere in this very planet, and there are other humans, maybe even pets nearby. My point is "The Grand Scheme of Things" is only in the eye of the beholder. Some people could care less about how big the universe is or how small we are, but those are just how different values work. But values are a topic for another day. My point in all this? Simple. I was also feeling existential.
