The shock

3-person POV:

"Guys I think there is something wrong with Carlos" Jay shouted into the girls' room where the two girls were doing homework."Has there not always been something wrong with him" jokes Mal, causing Evie to spit out the cake she ate and start laughing."No, I mean there's something really wrong with him," Jay said, getting the girls' attention. 

"His eyes are leaking water," Jay whispered. A small dog bursts into the room through Jay's leg.

"The dumb one is right, he is crying" Dude said, which caught the girls' attention and their playful mood became a concern for the boy. They followed Jay and Dude to the room they shared at the other end of the castle. Mal and Evie sat down on the side of Carlos's bed. He lies on his stomach with his head buried in a pillow. He had tried not to cry but the tears did not flow like rivers. He wants to think that everything is a dream, that he does not have a lost brother and a sick mother.

"Sweetie what's wrong?" Evie asks, caressing a hand over his shaking back. "Yes you can tell us, we are your family" Mal added. It has always been them towards the world. On the island and here in Auradon. The only difference is that here they have some friends who can help them when it's tough. 

"It's mom," he said as he lifted his head from the pillow. His eyes were swollen and red-edged. 

"What's with your mom?" Mal asked. But he didn't answer the question before the door opened and Ben comes in with his royal smile and blue clothes, the king's blue. 

"Family only" Jay exclaimed and stood up frighteningly long and broad-axed in front of the young king. Ben searched for Mal's eyes contact but she kept her eyes on her shoes and got up from her place from the bed. "Jay is right, only family for now" she said softly to her beloved. 

"I get it but I just wanted to tell Carlos that I'm sorry for his mom but that we should find his brother and reunite them, he denies it. Both of them deny it," he said, leaving the rest of the gang in shock. They have never heard anything about any brother and they have known each other their whole lives. When everyone was quiet, Ben turned out to be the way out of the room himself. 

"What was he talking about?" Dude was the first to say something.
