"Madeleine?" I said, possibly a bit too loud. We heard the pirates
"we have to go, NOW!" Fontaine said
"what about her" I asked
"she's not our problem, she can handle this situation on her own." she said
I saw the keys for her handcuffs laying in a box so I laid them next to her, otherwise I would have felt guilty. I saw how she suddenly started to open her eyes so I rushed away. I felt even more guilty because now I know that she's awake.

Fontaine  asked me, what took me so long, she we drove back to the arronax. I hesitated but then I told her.
"WHAT? He's still her father and he decides where she lives, he has to care for her!" she said
I couldn't control myself "yeah but seems like he didn't, whz else would she run away. She looked like she has a better life now, away from him. She looked healthy an-" Fontaine interrupted me "I know that you like her but it's not in our hands, she has to find her way out on her own."
I didn't reply. I looked away from her and didn't listen.
When we arrived I thought of telling mom and dad what happened but then Fontaine said that I shouldn't. I don't even know why I listened to her
