((Hello Im very rusty when it comes to writing so this isn't like the best thing ever but I hope you enjoy this anyway!))
Toko had been anxiously waiting by the front door since it was past midnight and her eldest son Kichiro hasn't returned home. Sure he was an adult who didn't need to be coddled and constantly looked after by his worrywart of a mom but Toko was Toko and worrying is what she does best in life and so she waited by that door as she nervously bit the skin around her extremely short fingernails thinking up every horrible scenario as to why her son was out so late. Did he get lost? Did he end up in an accident? Was he dead?
She waited there for what seemed likes hours upon hours but soon her tall son stumbled in through the front door which gave Toko some relief. He looked like mess and reeked of alcohol, not to mention he was stumbling about. "K-Kichiro!" Toko quickly spoke as she rushed to her son's side to help steady him, after all, if she didn't it looked like he would have fallen over. "W-what happened...?"
The tall boy looked down at the shorter woman with an icy blue glare, scowling at her. He didn't need her to help him and the fact she was there trying to aid him only further angered him. In his current drunken state of mind, he had deemed her as some horrible woman and so he was going to take out this anger he felt towards her. "Get away you filthy wench of a woman." He hissed out.
Toko was visibility shocked by his words at first but it was clear to her that he had gotten drunk again, something that's been happening more and more lately. "H-how about I help you t-to bed? I-I think you w-would feel much better i-if you got some rest..." She spoke in a kind nurturing way as she gently grabbed her son's arm. "A-after all r-rest is good f-for you!"
Kichiro kept his scowl as she yanked his arm away from her. "I thought I said to get away from me so shoo." Kichiro then motioned for her to leave as if she was a servant overstating her welcome.
A small frown crossed Toko's lips. She just wanted to help her son but she didn't really know what to do in this situation especially since she knew that her son had a terrible temper. She didn't want to make him mad since he was much taller and stronger than her as well as the fact that he was drunk and could be a bit unpredictable. She also didn't want him to get hurt while in this drunken state.
"P-please go to y-your room and r-rest..."
"Why the hell would I listen to a word that comes out of your filthy mouth?" He raised an eyebrow. "You're just some ex serial killer who somehow managed to get knocked up by a rich prick and ended up living a cushy life because of that." The boy scoffed at his mother as he turned to walk away stumbling as he did so.
That kind of stung but Toko tried her best to pay no mind to it given his current condition. "K-kichiro-"
"I was just some drunken mistake that gave you a ticket to the good life! After I was born you poped three more sons back to back and after one of them died you had that small little bitch I call a sister to replace him!" He once again turned to face his mother. "The little bitch who ended up being the favorite and getting all the attention and love!"
"I-I love you, you're brother's, and your sister e-equally." Toko shook her head a bit, growing scared of the situation. "A-and y-your wrong about all the other stuff."
"Father sure as hell didn't love us equally. He tossed me and my brother's to the side once she was born. He constantly gave her attention and expressed his love for her and I only got to watch! He even let her become the heir of our family's cooperation, a title I should have been given!" Kichiro stumbled towards Toko as he yelled.
Toko sunk her body down a bit as she looked up at her son. She was genuinely scared of what he was going to do next. "I-I have no control over what your f-father does K-Kichiro..."
The boy moved even closer towards his mom who stood there frozen in fear. "You could have done something!" He raised his voice even more. "Honestly I wish you and father would both just kill over because you're two of the most incompetent people I've ever met in my life! Im ashamed to even be apart of this family!"
"K-Kichiro..." Toko looked at him as tears formed in her wide gray eyes.
"You're seriously scared of me?" He smirked. "You think I'm scary? I can't even stand to look at someone as useless as you!" He raised his right hand into the air as he yelled in his mother's face.
Smack
His hand crashed down against his mother's cheek with a loud smacking sound. The force of the slap caused Toko's glasses to fly off her face and for the middle-aged woman to fall to her knees. She slowly brought her hand her now red cheek and looked up at her son with hot tears in her eyes. Her mouth opened a bit but no words came out, she couldn't speak.
"Thc... You're just as useless as ever." The boy then turned away from his defeated mother and stumbled to his room leaving Toko there in a state of utter shock.
After some time passed she picked up her glasses up from the floor and stood on her feet feeling as if she had failed as a mother.
