((I actually wrote this like a year or so ago and it was just chilling in my Google drive so uh~ In gonna post it for people to read.))

It was a cool early morning when the young heiress, Mindi Bayanna Togami, found herself leaning against the balcony railing lost in her own troubled thoughts. She was upset mainly because her elder brother Kichiro went off on her last night and the words he spoke still played back in her head over and over again. “You don't deserve to look unhappy after all you're the only one who got to experience father's general affection, you're the one who's always been cared about, you're the one who took the title of heir despite not only being the youngest and only girl but also weak and sickly. You have everything you could possibly want in life and you dare look unhappy? You have no right to look unhappy!” His pain-filled voice that was flooded with nothing but jealousy and hatred just kept echoing in her head because he spoke the truth and Mindi knew this, and deep down she felt horrible about it despite not being able to help it.

Taking in a deep breath Mindi closed her eyes for few moments before casting her gaze down at the ground that sat far below the balcony she stood atop. Her tiny body leaned over the railing as she simply stared down contemplating whether or not to simply throw herself from atop the balcony and allow her body to fall onto pavement path below leaving nothing but a mess of blood and broken bones, after all, she'd soon just be a memory that everyone would forget. If she jumped then maybe her elder brothers would be happy and not live every day in jealousy and resentment towards her. Then she wouldn't be the ‘favorite’ that stole all the attention away.

Most of her "friends" would be happy to be rid of her since they generally only used her for her family name and wealth, business competition would be more than happy to see her gone, and lastly, She could finally be free from all the stress of life. She felt warm tears form in those icy blue eyes of her's as she slowly pushed her body upwards, now standing on her tiptoes, leaning over further as she clenched onto the railing of the balcony. She was so close to climbing over the railing to act out upon that dark thought that currently plagued her mind when she was brought back to her senses by the sound of the sliding glass door that leads to the balcony sliding open and a familiar voice slicing through the silence of the early morning hours, “You're up rather early aren't you Bayanna dear?”

She quickly wiped those ugly tears from her eyes before turning to meet the unreadable expression of her father, Byakuya Togami, who was still dressed in the fancy black robe he wore to bed the night before. The small girl stood there keeping her hand on the railing as she froze up underneath his gaze. “Ah yes, I suppose I am up at a rather early hour.” She managed to keep her tone calm as she spoke. "I woke up and got tired of laying down so I came out here as to not disturb you or mother..."

Byakuya stayed silent for a moment as he stared at his fifteen-year-old daughter, his eyes made it impossible to tell what was currently on his mind. He then broke the silence,” very well, I assume that since you're out here you'll be joining me for coffee then? It's been a while since you sat out here with me and I personally wouldn't mind the company, after all, you are one of the very few people that doesn't get on my everlasting nerves.” He gave a small smirk as he finished speaking.

“well, I suppose that would fine.” She smiled and nodded.

“Very well I shall go tell one of the butlers to prepare the coffee then.” He turned and began to head back inside through the sliding glass door but stopped as he turned his head to look back at her. “And please be careful around the railing I saw that you were leaning over it and the last thing I need is for you to end up falling and ending up hurt or… Worse.” He seemed to let the words linger before he finally headed back inside.

Mindi couldn't help but look shocked at what he said, it was almost as if he knew what she was actually doing before but it had to be a simple coincidence since he wouldn't have any idea that her plan was to jump. The young girl slowly took a seat in a nearby chair though she kept her hand clenched onto the railing. "Thank you, father..." She spoke in a whisper as she let go of the railing.

Weather if he knew it or not he had prevented from possibly ending up dead that day.
