the crinkles next to her eyes
From years of smiling to cover up her pain
her nose sometimes scrunches up
From tilting her head back and letting out a roaring laugh, deep within her bossom
a beautiful bellow
the smile lines are prominent against
her delicate features
her eyes are filled with strength
from holding two monsters in her arms
while leaning over the stovetop
from kissing her kids goodbye while paying for the bills
from a hand rubbing her face because of stress while still using it
to tug people into a hugall these women in our lives
they're strong
stronger than we give them credit for
it's time we acknowledge that
