Chapter 7

-Hye Rim's P.O.V-

It was getting later and Min Hee is still not at home. I mean, I know she's with Chen but you know, she's still a lady and Chen is still a guy. You know what that means. I began walking back and forth in my room while biting my fingernails. If you guys don't know, I bite my fingernails when I'm nervous.

"What are you doing?" I heard a familiar voice.

I looked to the direction of the voice. Eun Hye. I started to rant at Eun Hye about how it is already night and how Min Hee is still not home yet.

I peered through my bedroom window to check if Min Hee is home yet. I was about to turn back when I saw Min Hee and Chen going into the front gate. I let out a sigh of relief. Hmph! Such troublemaker! I was getting ready to shout Min Hee's name out loud when I saw Min Hee handing out something to Chen. It turns out to be a phone.

"Okay, what? Chen doesn't even bring his phone? What if they didn't go home for the whole night and we try to call them but Min Hee's phone is low battery?" I started nagging.

Eun Hye came beside to see what was happening. I continued nagging until I suddenly saw Chen whipping out a phone from his pocket.

"How can he not bring a phone with-" WHAT?! SO HE BROUGHT A PHONE!

All that nagging came to waste. How could he. Liar! After that I saw Min Hee checking her phone and got surprised by it. Someone called her I guess after that and I saw Chen winking at Min Hee when she looked back at him.

Okay, this love birds.

Eun Hye and I were both sitting on Min Hee's bed when she came into the bedroom.

"Did you have fun today, lovebird?" I started teasing her.

Her cheeks turned into a shade of red. Eun Hye continued to tease Min Hee.

"That was fast," I said to Min Hee regarding her relationship with Chen.

I mean, isn't it fast? To sort of have that kind of relationship? Or are they having that kind of relationship?

It's not that I'm jealous or anything. It's just that I'm scared Min Hee will get hurt like that time again.

That time, she didn't even go down to eat for a week. I wonder how she survived. I mean, I wouldn't survive without food even if it's only for a week. I depend my life on food! Anyway, she was like that because she found out her boyfriend was cheating on her. With another girl. What a jerk.

I already treat Min Hee like she's my own biological sister so I can't bear to see her get hurt. I will protect her. And the fact that she is younger than me for 4 months make me want to protect her more. And I will definitely make sure that any guys who hurt her will get what they deserve. Something terrible.

For example, Min Hee's ex-boyfriend. Well, I didn't really do something really bad to him I just gave him a punch which broke his nose and broke him up with his girlfriend, the one he cheated with. Well, karma sure is a bitch, isn't it?

-The next week-

Well, I went to school alone.Apparently, Eun Hye and Min Hee went to school first because they thought that we're going to be late if they wait for me. Okay,acceptable. I was never punctual when I was in my old school. Ugh, why am I talking about that school?

When I got to school, we saw a crowd surrounding something or someone. I didn't bother to check because I hate crowds. Like seriously. I feel super suffocated when I'm in crowded places. I walk past by the crowd to my classroom. As I was walking, I saw the 12 guys in the crowd. Well, actually, the crowd was surrounding them. They are well-known in the school. I realized that a few days after we transferred to this school when everywhere they go, they will attract crowds around them. I'm not surprised they're well-known or something, they're good-looking. And probably rich. Probably that's why they're well-known.

I rolled my eyes. Okay. I continued walking through the hallway when someone suddenly called my name. I looked behind. I saw Baekhyun running towards me, trying to catch up to me. And I could totally see glares from the girls in the crowd. Okay, whatever.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"You know, just trying to get out of the crowd. It's suffocating," he replied with a shrug.

Okay, him feeling suffocated with crowds? He doesn't look like he will.We continued walking. A sigh suddenly came out of my mouth when I realize that it's going to be Maths class during the first period. Baekhyun looked at me while raising his left eyebrow.

"Follow me," he said with a smile while pulling me somewhere.

I couldn't help but to follow him. Well, he was pulling me. We reached the rooftop.

"This is where I hang out when I want to ditch," he said proudly.

"And you get away with it?"

"Obviously, no. Detention. That's the most they can do. They can't possibly suspend or expel me for skipping classes," he said.

True.

I went to sit at a bench near the railing. The air there felt so fresh. Baekhyun was lying on the wooden rectangular thingy I'm gonna call it a rectangular table. I looked outside at the view. It felt so soothing. I was looking outside when Baekhyun sat beside me.

"So, how's school?" he asked, trying to create a conversation.

"Fine. Oh, how is Chen like?" I suddenly remembered of Chen and Min Hee.

"Why? Are you interested in him?" he asked with somehow, a disappointed face?

I shook my head. I started to tell him about Min Hee and Chen. Somehow, something in me just didn't want Baekhyun to think wrongly about me asking him about Chen. I don't even know why.

After I explained to him, his face started to light up again. He then told me about how Chen is a fun guy and a nice one even though sometimes he could be troll. He loves to prank the other guys and always smile a lot. After hearing about him, I guess I can trust him more now. That he will take care of Min Hee and not hurt her. Well, I definitely know that already started to like each other. They've been hanging out with each other more and everytime Min Hee talks about Chen, she will turn red.

For me and Eun Hye, we have been.hanging out more with the 12 guys, trying to get to know them better. They turned out to be nice people. And I feel comfortable around them.

We continued talking about ourselves. The wind suddenly became strong. I did not tie my hair that day so it was flying around. Baekhyun suddenly lifted his right hand and touched my hair. He put my fringe which was flying around behind my ears. My heart began to beat faster. I felt as if there were butterflies in my stomach. Why am I feeling this way? The atmosphere there suddenly became really quiet. I looked at him in the eye. His hand which was touching my hair is now at my cheeks and moving on to my chin to lift it up. I felt mesmerized by his eyes. He leaned in towards me and tilted his head. I couldn't help but to also lean closer to him while tilting my head. Our lips were just one inch apart from each other.

"Yah, Baekhyun why are you up here without me-"

He quickly let go of my chin and I snapped back to reality. Wow, way to ruin the moment. I sat further away from Baekhyun and looked towards the direction where the voice was from.

Chanyeol.

Chanyeol looked shy and started stuttering on his words.

"Oops, I-I was just h-here because usually w-we're here t-together. Sorry if I ruined your moment."

"No!" Both Baekhyun and I answered at the same time.

Baekhyun stood up and looked at me, "Let's go."

I nodded. I could see Chanyeol smiling at Baekhyun. All the way to the classroom, Chanyeol kept on nudging Baekhyun with his elbow while giving him mischievous looks. I walked behind them because I was too embarrassed to walk in front of them. What was I thinking?
