"If only there was a way to make things better
If only I could go back to times when things were fine
If only we could see each other one more time"

"Welcome to the grand opening Torri Pie! I stand here today with my bestfriend, my attached at the hip sister from another, colleague and business partner Paige, aka Pie."

Everyone clapped and smiled as I called my bestfriend to the mic. Stepping up the stairs carefully to not trip on her long peach colored off the shoulder dress, Pie hair swung as she looked up at me, dabbing her eyes to not ruin her flawless beaten face. Hugging and kissing her cheek, I stepped back and smiled, watching as she spoke to the audience in here tonight.

Pie and I have dreamed of owning something with our name on it. Every since that day in business and administration class, we had big dreams.

"— Lastly I want to thank my bestfriend and sister, Torri. Without her by my side every day pushing and believing in me, in us, we wouldn't be here. She turned the negative into positives and now look where we are. Torri, I love you and I thank you for always being here with me and never giving up with things got hard. To us and to Torri Pie."

Pie finished. She walked over to me as we shared another hug before turning to the crowd and smiling. Flashes went off, whistling sounds were made and the sound of hands clapping bounced off the wall of the building.

Hand in hand, we walked up to the rope. Big scissors are handled to us. "Count down from three with us."

"Three..."

"Two..."

"One..."

Cutting the rope, the doors opened of our business. Security on each side of the door as we walked in. There were always workers in place. Behind the counter, on the floor with more items incase something runs out. People rushed to get inside and look at the decor. Oohs and Ahhs was heard. Paige and I stood back watching as the shoppers went crazy.

"I'm proud of us. You especially Pie." I announce hugging her for the millionth time tonight. I love and admire my bestfriend. If there was anyone that I would risk a part of my life for, it'll be her. She's helped me through so much and vise vera that I wouldn't think twice about doing something for her.

*Two hours later*

Just getting home, I sighed deeply. Every day was a hardworking day. From being so young going through so much, I had to make sure that my past didn't dictate my future. No one was there for me until I meet Pie.

At first I didn't trust her. I didn't trust anybody because the last friend I had embarrassed and betrayed me so badly that I didn't want to go out anywhere. Texas may be big but everybody knew everybody. Your life was there's and vice versa. Anything that you did, people on the streets knew before you had the chance to get it right. Someone was always there, listening, plotting and running their mouth to anyone who is around.

Staring at the townhouse door, I closed my eyes and laid my head against my seat. Unexpected tears clouded my eyes, running one by one down my cheeks into the corner of my mouth. Sobs of silently crying burned my throat. The feeling of not being able to get air crept up on me.

"Take a deep breath. Inhale and Exhale."

After a few minutes of getting things under control, I looked around making sure everything was in my purse. The warm Texas heat hit my body as I stepped out the car.

Eversodefinity, I began the four step process to my door. Unlike the rest of the houses around here, mines was the one that screamed "Stay Away". I hated having people at my house. Some overstepped their boundaries while others just didn't have any physical home training.

Stepping in the dark house, I quickly unarmed the system before rolling my eyes. He always does this. Never leave a light on. What if someone was in here. I wouldn't know.

"Sammy?" I called making kissing noises. The sound of little paws, nails and whining sounded across the tile floor before the carpet began to ruffle.

"Come on Sammy, outside!" Opening the back door, Sammy ran out and spun around before doing her business. She'd taken a number two, which means he didn't let her out earlier or feed her too much. Running back to the door, Sammy sat and watched to see if the door was going to open. At seven months, she's a very well-trained puppy. Cracking the door, she walked in like she was royalty and sat down again.

"You're a bougie puppy ma'am. Aunty Pie has to stay away." I spoke going to get a water. Sammy barked. "Oh, excuse me then. How bout you pack your things and go with her." I added. Sammy laid down wagging her tail.

"That's what I thought." I mumbled going up to my bedroom. Opening the door, the light from the small lap shined creating a little glow. Going to my small vanity, I grabbed the makeup wipes walking into the connected bathroom.

Stripping down to nothing but nakedness, I began the process of removing the light makeup before turning on the shower. "Alexia, shuffle my playlist." I stepped in, immediately getting relaxed. The hot stream opening my pores as hot water rain over my body like the sun on a hot day.

Grabbing my Caress Midnight body wash, I began cleansing my skin to prepare for a goods night rest.
