__________ Torriya Ingram South Grand Prairie High School Grand Prairie, TX Monday, May 22 __________
Torriya pulled into the crowded parking lot of her old high school. The principal contacted her and wanted her to speak to the students at the seminar. It was weird at first because she hasn't been to the school ever since she graduated but then her mood changed because she gets to talk, get asked questions and listen to what's in the kids future.
The seminar didn't start until 11 so she had time to eat her breakfast and maybe take a tour to see what changed. The sound of VaShawn Mitchell - Nobody Greater played lowly in the background.
Glancing out the window, she could see a few students standing around, gossiping, smoking which made her laugh because it reminded her of her and her friends.
The time struck 10:40, so she took that as an opportunity to do some touring. The thing that stood out from now to when she was in school was the giant sculpture of the warrior mascot in front of the building.
"Hold the door please!"
A voice from behind call out. Torri turned and saw a man carrying a briefcase, a bag of food from Taco Bell and a cup holder with three coffee cups. How did he get out without spilling or dropping anything questioned her mind. She caught the door, stepping in and holding it as he passed through.
"Thank you. Hands are full this morning."
The man said. He sighed and smiled looking over Torri.
She was beautiful. Her hair was in a sleek high ponytail contrasting her face as her baby hairs swooped into it. Little makeup filled her face and the nose ring made it shine. She looked back towards him to find him checking her out. Clearing her throat catching his attention, she half-smiled.
"You're welcome—"
"Mr. Dodgson." He cut her off. "I can't shake your hand but nice to meet you. Are you new?"
Torri shook her head no before turning her attention back towards the signs. She began to walk away but was stopped by his voice again.
