the end is near.

the day started off beautifully from the moment it started until the moment it ended. the sun was shining so bright and everyone was at peace. We all woke up the next morning expecting the same environment, warm, sunny, peaceful, and bright. instead we all woke up to no sun shining. I looked up into the sky wondering where the sun had gone, I seen a slight glimpse of it but something or someone was blocking it from shining through. I looked around and fog covered everything I could see, and the clouds were no longer fluffy white looking. now they were dark and scattered across the sky. the darkness made it eerie and the peaceful environment that we all had once new was now gone and a new darkness had taken over. I started walking down the street in search of someone that could tell me what was happening. Instead I seen something else.. a women was being dragged on the ground by a force that no one could see. she kept screaming and trying to hold onto anything she could to keep from being taken by this force. I looked over at this woman and I said,

"what is happening?"

then the woman replied,

"they are going to hell."

I stood there for a second in disbelieve that this was happening, I felt as if I were in a dream and could not wake up. A strange figure from across the street pointed at me and started approaching me. I felt the urge to run so that's exactly what I did. I ran far down the street and I looked behind me to see if the figure was following me, and as I did I ran into a man.

"where are you running off to?" He said.

"something is trying to get me!" I yelled at him.

"I'll help you! Just run off into those woods over there and follow the path. I won't be far behind." He said as he pointed over to the dark woods.

I took off running until I could no longer feel my legs and heart raced so fast I felt as if it were going to jump out of my chest. As I ran deeper into the woods I noticed that the fog had lifted and it was untouched by this place, and the sky was the blue color I had always know it to be. Here the darkness was not yet to be. I had no time to stop and look I kept running, and running. I didn't even look at the ground, my vision was becoming more and more blurry. My legs no longer had a burning sensation in them, but now they were numb, because my fear took over my pain. All of a sudden I felt myself being emerged in water. I had ran straight off into a pond and the cold water eased my body. I sat there for a second trying to catch my breath then my eyes began to see something strange in the water. I looked around and I seen the outline of a skull. I was in shook and for some strange reason I wanted to pick it up and examine it, in order to tell if what I was seeing with my eyes was actually real. A very loud sound of thunder made me loose my train of thought and I looked up in the sky. In the sky I could see the darkness was on its way. It was coming my way slow but I could see the line between the beautiful blue sky and the dark clouds. Out of no where the water around me became increasingly hot and waves started to form around me as if they were going to take me under. I quickly tried to grad a branch off the nearest tree I was beside but the water was getting stronger, and it was trying to take me down.

"I've got you!" I heard a voice say

I looked up and it was the mans voice that had told me to run here. He grabbed my arm and lifted me to safety out of the water.

"We need to run now! the darkness is coming and if we don't leave we will never make it out!" I said to him as I looked up into the sky at the darkness.

he locked his arm around mine and looked me in the eyes, and said,

"No. No more running."

I tried to loosen my grip from around him but he was not going to let me go. I screamed and kicked at him to let me go but he had a force much greater then my tiny self. All of a sudden something grabbed me from behind. It was the figure I had been trying to run from. I started screaming as he pulled out a blade and began carving something into my arm, everything became blurry until I remembered nothing at all.
