She looked in the mirror as she tucked in her white long sleeved shirt into her contrasting black jeans. She kept her face to a makeup minimum, only putting on a sheen of pink lip balm, eyeliner and basic foundation to appeal to her clean appearance.

Her hair was left simply flowing down her back, her look was plain and simple. First impressions are always important, they could decide many things and more importantly your character.

She was going with a clean temperament which would slowly change when she debut, a rather flexible image.

Doing a time check, she placed her inhaler and her spare inhaler into her handbag as she strode out of her apartment with a confident gait.

The queue to simply sign up for the audition was already so long extending out of the building onto the busy road, the building was swarmed with people all wanting a chance at the auditions.

Though unsaid, looks played an important role in the entertainment industry. There were only some exceptions and those exceptions are filled by otherworldly talents at acting. Of course, before looks came acting skills but looks still had a crucial role to play in order to land roles.

However, what are looks without any skill? They would just be a vase that does not suit an actor's occupation.

The world wasn't lacking of beautiful people, most of those auditioning were beautiful and handsome people. They had the height they had the looks, but they wouldn't be selected no matter what if they didn't have the skills.

So what if they had the money to bribe their way in? The reason why H.A.Z.E could stand up to its reputation was simply because they do not give in to the temptations like other companies. You could be rich, poor, beautiful or ugly. But H.A.Z.E only want talented seeds which could grow into a plant at its perfection.

Chen Hua queued for hours under the sun, beads of perspiration forming on her forehead and she was glad she didn't put too much make up before it melted off her like the other girls. Her face was covered by her mask but her aura simply made people look towards her.

She didn't talk, she didn't grumble, she simply looked forward and waited with patience that was lacking in most.

"482" The person nodded his head at her, passing her a tag. He showed no ounce of bias which was fair and she nodded in approval of H.A.Z.E.

"Please head to level 2 into the left room for females." The man droned as she nodded once more proceeding into the air conditioned building. She stepped past the security check who searched through her bag and made her take off her mask as she tossed it in the bin provided.

She felt a little disappointed that she had to toss it away seeing as it was beneficial to her health. However, she didn't utter a complaint as she strode in.

Unknown to everyone else, as soon as everyone stepped in, they were monitored with a camera situated at the entrance and multiple places such as the waiting room. Every single action, speech was all recorded and judged.

In the waiting room, she sat on one of the free seats against the wall as she plugged her ears with her earpiece, shutting herself away from the noisy chattering of the room. She scrolled through her playlist and bobbed her head as the song started to roll.

Closing her eyes she sighed as there were looks thrown to her, her looks must be a threat to other contestants...

She stood up, walking towards the table where bottled drinks were provided. Before she could make it there though, a body was flung towards her. Her hands immediately held the lady's shoulder as she grunted at the force coming at her. She steadied them both as she turned her eyes to the perpetrator.

It was a woman who was wearing a glittering dress which was obviously expensive. She wore branded sunglasses indoors and her heels clacked. Her hair is permed to perfection and a perfectly manicured finger was pointed at Chen Hua, or the girl in Chen Hua's embrace.

"You are in my way." the woman said tossing her hair behind her back. There were 4 muscled and big bodied security guard, their hands held in front of them as they are prepared to defend the woman.

It was a no brainer that the woman was an important rich individual.

Firstly, the way she dressed, the way she spoke and the way she held herself.

Secondly, no guys were allowed in the waiting rooms, if she could afford 4 bodyguards with her, it would show she had connections and the capability to do so.

Her dazzling and condescending aura spoke for her identity, pressuring the other girls in the room to shut their mouth.

"T-Thank you." The girl she steadied said as she helped herself up, her face burning red in embarrassment.

"It's okay." Chen Hua smiled gently at the girl putting her hands back down at her side.

There were some girls who wanted to stand up against the glamorous woman but made no moves to do so. They didn't want to risk their chance at auditioning by offending her. Instead they could only pray that someone would sacrifice themselves on their behalf, to berate the woman for her arrogance. To tell her it was a fair audition, that her wealth didn't matter in H.A.Z.E.

They all had a distaste for her, but they didn't dare to speak up. The girls could only stare at her in hidden displeasure, but made no move to speak up.

"Young lady over there." Chen Hua's gentle and alluring voice called out in the silence which made a few people dazed and snap towards the brave woman who was risking her career.

"Would it bother you to say a sorry?" She called, her words cutting deep into the deafening silence. Everyone tensed as they watch the event fold out.

"Me? " The lady swiveled towards Chen Hua and snorted in contempt. "What for?" She said as she placed her hands on her hips.

"Beautiful lady, can you apologize to this little lamb here?." Chen Hua pinched the chin of the girl in her embrace, causing her to flush while talking to the prideful woman gently, not trying to ruffle her feathers.

Chen Hua sent a deep look into the shy girl's eyes, causing the girl in her arms to squeak and blush at the intensity of her gaze.

"Hmm..." The woman hummed and Chen Hua could feel her eyes narrowing on her through her sunglasses, however, Chen Hua's face showed no change but an amiable sweet smile.

"But she was in my way." The woman continued, her eyes scanning Chen Hua, waiting for her response.

"Ah, I see... then I will apologize on her behalf but I would like an apology on your part as well." Chen Hua chided gently as if she was talking to a toddler, her voice sending comforts to those who heard it.

"Hmph! I shall apologize for now but don't expect me to show anyone mercy if they stand in my way again!" The woman harrumph and flipped her hair, striding away with the click of her heels resounding in the quiet room.

As soon she was out, the silent room erupted into excited chatters and applause. The lady who fell once again expressed her gratitude while Chen Hua smiled, going back to her goal of taking a bottle of water to drink.

Those kind of arrogant attitude was common in the entertainment circle and Chen Hua had long learned her mistakes and learnt to counter these type of people. She didn't take sides and she didn't anger the woman.

It was important not to be on the bad side of anybody because it would cause a lot of trouble and Chen Hua had first hand experience on that.

The arrogant woman took off her glasses as she round the corner, a smirk splayed on her lips as she remembered the face of the girl who stood up against her.

'It seems, there is potential in that recruit.'
