Image-1.png"Heh, the fucking demon thinks we're that stupid, you think you can come back and lie to my face and I wouldn't notice the hideous monster walking around the village. I've seen you pass by here multiple times, wearing your stupid little disguise to hide your identity, I never got the chance to confront you though but now that you have a bodyguard to protect you, you decided to come out in broad daylight. How pathetic." He chuckled slightly as some of his acquaintances gathered around the two, "Wait, I'm sorry, I was just trying to survive, I still need to eat." She explained, trying to loosen the man's grip on her shirt, "Sure thing sweetheart, let's do a favour for one another then, I'm going to help you cure your hunger once and for all and you'll never step foot in this village or on earth again." He smirked, pulling out a dagger from his pocket raising it in the air to strike her, "No! Please stop I-!" She panicked and before she knew it, her hands began to glow a soft orange, heating up before a blast of fire was able to throw the man off her. The crowd around her gasped in shock of what just happened, the man laid on the ground, drowning in the painful heat of the fire, his skin peeling off his body, bit by bit, "I'm sorry, just, leave me alone! I didn't mean to-! Do you know what?! Ahahahahaha! You're going to pay for how you treated me!" She shouted enraged as flames erupt from her hands and she started lighting everyone and everything in her sight with the brush of her hand. Crowds of people ran away screaming not risking a second to get burned alive.
༄
It wasn't so long until Alex came rushing out of the tavern behind her, she was about to burn the rest of this village to the ground before noticing Alex, which wasn't a surprise, oh god, what has she done. The guy who stood before her seemed shocked but also unbothered in the slightest, something about him made her want to stop and suffer the guilt of what she just did. But why stop because of him, she just met this random guy in the forest, it wasn't like his he was worth anything to her at this point. Maybe it was the fact that he was the first person in a while to show any sort of kindness to her, she wanted to keep that up.
༄
So she suddenly stopped, he wasn't trying to attack her or anything, he didn't even say another to her to make her stop, maybe cause he knew she would've ended up making the right choice, I don't know. She looked down for a moment, ashamed as the blistering flames around her began to slowly die down, before she heard him speak, "Come on, let's go." Alex spoke causing Orabelle to look up again, as he began to walk off, not really waiting for her to say anything. She ran off quickly after him, better then staying there. As they made their way along the path, Alex asked casually, "So what are you?" Orabelle really didn't want him asking that question, hoping he was just cool with the whole, girl almost burns everything to ashes kinda thing, but I mean, who wouldn't be curious or concerned about walking next to someone who was just a second ago planning on murdering a whole village. "Um.. I'm just um.. I don't think you'd really want to know." She mentioned to him awkwardly causing him to respond bluntly, "If I didn't want to know then I wouldn't have asked." Orabelle continue to follow along after him, "Oh right.. well the thing is... that I'm kinda.. sorta.. half demon... like not a full one, just from my father's side... I swear, that earlier was just me getting a little carried away, I'm working hard on controlling it and normally I can but that time was different..." she explained, afraid this was the part where she was going to get tossed back into the woods again or did he just drag her out here to follow him where nobody could see him slaughter her?! "Alright." The man shrugged, continuing on his way. Orabelle blinked a couple of times, that was it, alright? What a strange answer, more so, what a strange man. Orabelle didn't care though, happy that he just excepted that fact made her smile with joy.
༄
Orabelle continued to follow after the man through the windy path, trying to figure out where they were going, perhaps on a fun adventure, she didn't really know since he hadn't told her yet. But hey, there was always that fun sense of mixing a bit of mystery into your life, unknowing surprises just ready to jump out at ya, what a thrill. Though something deep down in the depths of her mind, she honestly felt as if she wasn't going to end up regretting adding Alex's presence to her life, the start of a new chapter in her own little world.
༄
It wasn't long until she noticed that she was being lead to a what seemed like a small group of people, perhaps Alex here had more friends along with him, though he did seem like that lone wolf kinda type, she wasn't going to dare judge him at first glance though, it would be the right thing to do after him accepting her very judgemental secret. Besides where was the harm in making a new group of friends herself? They seemed to be packing random goodies into this large, what's the word... oh right, carriage, chatting away about whatever topic lead them into conversation. Though she was slightly getting a bit nervous, so many people... even though five more people didn't seem like a lot, it definitely was to Orabelle. She couldn't believe it, it's been almost years now since she hung out with more people... she didn't understand what concerned her so much, maybe she cared about what Alister may perhaps think of her accepting more friends, thus perhaps replacing him which she knew he wouldn't take so easily, or maybe it could just be the fact that once look at her and they might all end up threatening her to leave or even flee the scene themselves screaming, the thoughts were all swirling inside of her head that she forgot to cover up her what she assumed to be hideous eye and that's when she finally made eye contact with the first person to take notice of her.
Great...
