↳ although i'd rather deter from starting with negatives, there's no doubting that scott is an awkward one. despite this, he tries to be friendly and social towards others, willing to throw a smile towards whoever looks his way. he's helpful, happily guiding anyone he's capable of. this leads to many acquaintances, being considered a great neighbor, and always earning employee of the month. but still, just as anyone else, he values his time alone. an introvert he may be, he still enjoys the company of others. being around them for too long just exhausts him.
due to his job being in a kid's establishment, he tries to refrain from foul language, although the presence of a certain purple-haired weirdo (term used affectionately) can easily change that.
but he generally likes to keep himself busy, and is a heavy rule-enforcer. he's one of the most long-lasting and trusted employees of his workplace. he has a connection with the boss, hence why he's so loyal to the regulations. some might view him as a workaholic, though scott secretly appreciates some downtime all the same. he hasn't been getting much often, so he's been quite tense for a long time.
he enjoys being around kids, just as long as their not flinging their pizza towards him, stomping on his shoes, or having a good one on the floor.
the boy has good morals, to say the least. be good, hate crime, etc. he could never bring himself to intentionally do bad, especially lethal harm to others. just the sight of blood made him sick. though, he is also naive, which can be confusing since he's distrusting at the same time. his trouble in trusting others is fueled by his irrational paranoia.
nevermind that; he's also quite easy to tease, as he'll immediately get defensive or flustered and serve you the crappiest comeback you'll ever hear.
as you can see, he's not the most street-smart. but, that's not to say he wasn't at the top of his class back in his scholarly years. because then, he was exceptional- that is, until he had the oh-so notorious meltdown. when all his potential went to waste because of the compiled mess of his depression & anxiety-ridden brain. ever since then, he feared being seen as over-sensitive, so he'd never let anyone see a vulnerable side of him. no, not a chance. who knows what they'd do with that information?
sometimes, while trying to hide his feelings, he convinces himself that theyre nonexistent. he forgets that they exist, and basically neglects them. so, he becomes EXTREMELY frustrated when he notices them come back out of nowhere. it's a surprise he's so good at helping others with their emotional issues when he can't handle his own.
although he may be calculative, he is also somehow painfully oblivious when it comes to reading expressions. if you want him to know something, you gotta give it to him plain and straight. no funny business.
