All I can remember is the fact that we battled one of Zarkon's monsters again, and I got hurt.
I was really weak, I could barely stand up: one of the paladins got into my lion once we were in the castle, and helped me walk to a pod, and I fell asleep. Now, I was wide awake, and I felt great. I got out of my pod, but no one was there waiting for me.
"They must be training" I thought, making my way over to the lounge, where we talk after every training exercise.
"I hope there doing all right" I thought, as I neared the doors. I could hear the guys talking inside, which meant that they already finished there training, and that everything was back to normal.
I sighed in relief, smiled, and stepped inside.
"Hey guys, what's up?"
The guys turned to look at me, but before they could answer me, they stopped, looking at me, as a silence befell the lounge.
"Is... something wrong?" I had no idea why they seemed so shocked the second I walked in the room. This behavior was weird- even for the paladins.
"Pidge, what happened to your hair?" Keith asked, still shocked, staring at me, just like everyone else did.
"What's wrong with it?" I replied, moving my hand to touch the end of my hair cut: which was really, really short ever since I cut it when we were back at the academy on earth.
But my hand didn't find the end, but instead, going down and down my hair, until I could move my hair from back to front, and for the first time in a long while, I actually saw my hair in front of me, without a mirror: which meant that it grew longer, way over my shoulders.
I could feel my face turning white, and I could tell that they saw it too: I practically heard my heartbeat, and I wouldn't be surprised if the other paladins could hear it as well.
How long was I asleep? How could I have missed this detail?
The only thing I wanted to do was to run out of the lounge, back to my room, and cut my hair, but I had to know something first.
"How..... How long was I asleep?" I said, not sure if I want to know the answer, not daring to look any of them in the face. I know exactly how I look with long hair, and the fact that it's grown back, might change the way the other paladins see me forever. Sure, they all knew that I'm a girl for quit some time, but my hair actually makes me look like.... A girl. This situation makes the knowledge of what I am not only known to them, but also.... Visible. Very, very visible.
"Two days" Keith said, trying to take his eyes off of my hair, since it was, understandably, really shocking.
If I wasn't pail before, I was now. I think shiro noticed this, since he looked as if he wanted to say something. But before he could say anything, I turned, and ran as fast as I could out of the lounge.
I didn't stop until I was in front of my destination: Allura's room.
"Allura!" I shouted, while banging on the door. "Allura!"
After a few seconds, the door opened, and a rather sleepy allura came out, looking more then a little annoyed that someone woke her up.
"Pidge" she said, while a yawn escaped her "could this wait until-"
She stopped mid sentence, and she took a good look at me. She was fully awake now, as shock and confusion were shown on her face.
"What happened to your hair?"
"That's what I came to ask you!" if there was a good time to panic, now was the time.
"Don't worry" she said, but it looked like she was pretty worried herself "were going to find out what did this"
