Tsunahime's eyes fluttered open as she laid on the hospital bed. She noticed Nana holding her hand as she slept and Reborn conversing with another infant. "Ah.. Tsunahime, you're awake," Reborn said upon noticing Tsunahime's eyes being open. "Hi Reborn-san," Tsunahime said weakly and studied the get well soon cards on the bedside table and orange roses. "You've had lots of visitors lately, most of whom have been from your school," the other infant said. "Um, what's your name?" Tsunahime asked the other infant. "It's Fon, I'm the greatest martial artist in the world," Fon said and shook Tsunahime's hand with his infant sized one. Both gasped as they felt something click in place in their souls and Fon suddenly grew into the size of a 18 year old boy.

"W-what just happened?" Fon stuttered. "You've become her sky," Reborn replied. "I- thank you for becoming mine?" Tsunahime trailed off, blushing because of Fon's handsomeness. "No need to thank me.. I should be thanking you for becoming my Sky," Fon said with a small smile, he had a pale blush on his face... Perhaps due to his new bond with Tsunahime? Reborn looked between the two and smirked, 'I shall give them a little push,' he thought. "Do you want something to eat or are you just going to ogle each other?" Reborn asked. "Reborn-san!" Tsuna squeaked. "Reborn," Fon sighed.

After they had eaten and Nana had woken up, Shamal came to bring the news to Tsunahime. "Tsunahime-chan. I'm going to be honest with you, you need surgery and fast," Shamal said. "Doctor Shamal, what's wrong with me?" Tsunahime asked. "You have stomach cancer and something has been feeding off of your flames. And I think you know what yourself and I want you to be honest with us," Shamal said and looked at Tsunahime. "I... I do know what's taking them," Tsunahime said hesitantly. "What is it?" Reborn asked. "... I have this orange pacifier in my room. I've been feeding it my sky flames, because I have to! Checkerface said that I'm the only one who can handle the curse," Tsunahime replied with a sad smile. "And yet the curse caused you to have cancer and it's only stealing your flames," Fon retorted. "I know," Tsunahime sighed.

"I don't think you understand severity of the situation, Tsunahime. It caused you to have stomach cancer, the pacifier is stealing your flames and because of that you're dying!" Shamal exclaimed. "I know!" Tsunahime yelled. "Don't you understand how I'm feeling?! I'm only fifteen and I'm leaving mama behind, I'm going before her and it scares me! But if I had to choose, I'd rather die than let the other Arcobaleno do so in my place," she said. "Tsu-chan," Nana whispered. "But, let's not think about it know. Doctor Shamal, can you heal me?" Tsunahime asked. "Yes, but it'll be a long and painful process," Shamal replied. "Then so be it," Tsunahime said with a grim expression.

"Oh! What will I tell the council?" Tsunahime asked after Shamal left. "The truth, they're your trusted after all," Nana said. "Reborn-san, can you call the council here? Tell them I'm holding a meeting here," Tsunahime asked. "Sure." Reborn said and went outside the room. Suddenly Tsuanhime felt pain in her abdomen and let out a tormented sound. "Tsu-chan are you okay?!" Nana asked. "I'm fine," Tsunahime said through gritted teeth. "I've called in the council," Reborn said as he came back. "Thank you,"  Tsunahime nodded.

When Hana, Kyoko and Kyoya arrived, Tsunahime greeted with a warm smile on her extremely pale face. The three students gasped in shock upon seeing Tsunahime and with good reason! Tsunahime's skin was deathly pale, she was thinner than before, she looked tired and yet she still managed to look beautiful. "Hime-chan?" Kyoko called. "I have some bad news for you all," Tsunahime sighed. "I have stomach cancer and the reason is because I'm the Sky Arcobaleno.. The pacifier has been taking my flames," she smiled sadly. "Hime, why didn't you tell us?" Asked Hana. "Because I was scared on what your reactions would be," Tsunahime admitted. "Omnivore. We'd never be mad, scared yes, but not mad," Kyoya said. "Thank you Kyoya," Tsunahime smiled. She felt their bond hum, sending a sense of sadness from the purple end and relief from the orange one. Perhaps the dying girl could be saved?
