The winds were pounding on all windows with rain pushing down hard against the roof, thunder echoing through all of the rooms... but the house itself was eerily quiet, the only sound would be the sniffling of a small boy, huddled up in his wardrobe – crying endlessly as his eyes never got any rest.
He hadn't left his house for five days now and no one had been allowed inside, not even Taehyung... because Yoongi needed to regain his thoughts.
He knew that he loved Tae with all his heart, he just needed to flush out the grain of hope in Jimin out of his system. He no longer wanted to be together with his childhood friend, but he knew that if that little particle of feelings lingered — he couldn't forgive himself, because he wanted to love his amazing boyfriend with the whole of his being.
But at the time – Yoongi wasn't done with cleansing his emotions, they were still a big mess inside his stomach, forming a painful knot.
The storm going on outside somehow made him feel as if he wasn't alone in this heart wrenched moment, the weather felt it too.
— Out of nowhere, Yoongi heard something tap on his window and he jumped when he suddenly noticed that it had a small rhythm... that couldn't just be the wind... but what on earth would be tapping at his bedroom's window which was on the second level?
The small male carefully opened the door to his closet, crawling out of it quietly... feeling scared of what it might be.
Behind the glass was none other than his ever-smiling friend – Jung Hoseok. Teeth clattered from the cold and his body drenched in water, but still broadly smiling. Once the male noticed that Yoongi had spotted him, he waved ungracefully, almost looking as if he was about to fall down in the process.
"Oh my god ~ how careless can he be?" Yoongi exclaimed as he hurried to open the window, basically stumbling over his own feet in the process. Once the glass shutters were opened, the cold male jumped inside with a loud thud.
"I've always said that I was like a ninja eh?" Hoseok joked joyfully while he rubbed his arms for warmth.
"Stupid idiot... I'll get you some dry clothes and a blanket" Yoongi rolled his eyes as he turned to his bathroom, gathering said objects.
"Here"
"Thanks Yoonie" the taller male mumbled as he quickly dried himself off, dressing in the given articles before mentioning for his best friend to come to sit down, next to him on the bed. The smaller waddled over, his body tiredly flopping down as they hugged each other to warm up, all the while they looked up at the boring white ceiling.
"You're not gonna ask me why I haven't answered any of your calls or texts?" Yoongi questioned out loud, to which the other shook his head no.
"I already know... " his best friend sated to his own surprise and he saw how the other's figure got blurrier and blurrier.
"Hobi... I want to let go of him so badly, but I can't get rid of it... these feelings" the shorter male whispered out, his eyes starting to water again and his best friend hummed.
"And you can't" the taller stated in an obvious tone, to which Yoongi stared at him dumbfounded.
"What?" the smaller questioned quizzically, his voice still very strained from being overworked.
"You shouldn't let go of him, he's a friend just like I and Jungkook are to you ~ you love me right?" Hoseok asked in one of the softest to es to exist and the other nodded slowly but surely, his hands wrapping around the other even tighter.
"I love you as a friend"
"Than love him just like a friend, the love doesn't have to disappear altogether... we've known each other for so long... I would be heartbroken if you'd just give up on our relationship, it can change yeah - but it doesn't need to disappear, not when both of you can still mend things for the better" Hobi explained thoughtfully and the smaller dried of his cheeks with the sleeves of his large sweater, before giving him a light kiss on the cheek.
"Yeah, I understand... I'd never break up with you" Yoongi gave the taller a small smile which he also got in return.
"Good, because I need my best friend to function"
The two of them then laid there the whole evening, only going down to eat some snacks before going to sleep in each other's calming presences.

."I guess we'll see each other some other time huh?" Jimin awkwardly commented as he scratched the nape of his neck, his eyes never leaving his own feet.
"Yeah, I'll see you" Yoongi bid goodbye, before hugging his childhood friend one last time. Jimin was taken aback by the sudden action, but quickly thought back to the long conversation they had gone through the previous day.
— They'd continue on as friends, good friends, but nothing more.
When they stepped apart – they both waved at each other with sad smiles, before Emily came up to them to also say a few last words. The pair then walked down the stone path, only glancing back once they'd situated themselves on the leather seats.
Yoongi watched as the car drove away down the street just as he felt a hand coming around to hold his waist.
"They'll do well together" Taehyung commented as he looked in the direction of the now gone vehicle and his small boyfriend nodded with a content hum.
"Yeah and we will too"
