Before the story begins, here's a rundown of the different names and general terms that will be used throughout the story:
Ethereals: the creatures that reside in Heaven and Hell
Devils: All creatures of Hell
Demons: Male Devils
Daemons: Female Devils
Angels: All creatures of Heaven
Immortality/Immortal: Most Ethereals are immortal, the only way to kill them is for another Ethereal to do the deed, or the human world forgets their name or that they exist in which case the Ethereal will fade away
Eternity/Eternal: Even if the Ethereal is forgotten in the human world, they will continue to live on, but if they are killed by another Ethereal they will die
Bold: When the text is in bold, it means that this is an a/n (author's note)
Asterisk (*): A term that is defined at the bottom of the page
Hell's Rage: akin to bloodlust; Hell's rage can overtake a Deviant, turning them into a full-fledged Devil if they lose control
I will eventually add more to this as time goes on, but for now here are the terms in case you need to reference them. I will also add some footnotes at the bottom of the page in case you are too lazy (like me).
