-dylan-

Dinner is my favorite meal of the day. All of this food, it's great. My name is Dylan, I'm a girl, age 15, sophomore in high school, 238 pounds, 5' 3", must I continue? As you can see, I'm a fat lard. But I don't care. I love food. My mom scheduled an appointment for the doctors. She says I have an eating disorder. No, not anorexia or bulimia, those are not the only kinds there are. I have the other kind, where I eat too much food. I am comfortable in my body and that is what's important.

"Dylan! We're leaving in 15 minutes! Get ready!" She yells up the stairs.

"Okay!" I yell back down. I get a pair of skinny jeans and put them on. I have a huge muffin top. Then I put on a button down shirt that is slightly too small for me and button all of the buttons. I put on my short uggs and headed down the stairs.

"You ready?" My mom asks.

"Yup." I say, popping the p. I follow her out the door and steal a kit kat from the basket next to the door, we keep it there because it's almost Halloween. I unwrap it and shove it in my mouth before she sees that I have it.

"Hello Shannon, Dylan, take a seat." The doctor named Heather says.

We sit down on the seats.

"So Shannon, what are your concerns for Dylan?" Heather asks.

"Well, she never has let me see her weight but I know it is way too high for her height and age." My mom says.

"Okay, so would you like for me to take her weight and calculate her BMI?" She asks.

"Yes, please." My mom says.

"Alright Dylan, how abut you follow me into here." She says, leading me into a small room.

"Step on the scale please." She smiled. I took of my shoes and stepped on. 248 it flashed.

"Now stand up against the wall." She says. Wow. I gained 10 pounds in the last week. I think.

"Okay, can you just stand there while I calculate the BMI?" She asks. I want to say know but I know I don't have a choice. She mutters a few things before saying, "okay, let's go back into the room."

I follow her back into the room and sit in the chair next to my mom. When I sit, the buttons on my shirt are open, fat is squeezing out of the little holes.

"So Shannon, Dylan is 5' 3", she is 248 pounds, and her BMI is 44.0 and that means she is obese." Heather says.

My mom stares at me.

"So what this means is she will need to go to a fitness camp to try to get in better shape and to get a healthier lifestyle." She hands my mom a pamphlet.

"Thank you, Heather." She says, they talk about the 'fitness camp' a little bit more and then we leave.

I sit in the front seat of my moms black Toyota and lean back. One of the buttons pop on my shirt, then another, then another. 3 whole buttons. They fell onto the floor. Then my pants button came undone, but not off. I struggled to get it back together. my mom sighed.

We drove for a little bit until we got to the store.

"I'll go in, you can come pick me up later." I say to my mom.

"Okay, bye." She sighs, watching as I fail to put together my pants button. I walk into the store and grab a shopping cart. I walk over to the free cookies and grab four. Ooh, I'm a rebel, the cookies are for 12 and under. Suckers. I walk toward the candy aisle and pick up 2 bags of kit kats. I then walk toward the aisle that had donuts and I grabbed 2 bags. Then I went and font some gross healthy stuff that my mom likes to eat.

"That'll be 40.38." The cashier says. I hand him my moms credit card and wait for him to scan it in. He hands it back to me and I grab my bags and exit the store. I sit on the hay bails out front and hide the candy in one bag. I call my mom to come pick me up.
