Tyler - POV
"TYLER. GET UP. IT'S 12:00 IN THE AFTERNOON."
I felt a pillow hit me in my back.
"TYLER, I'VE BEEN WAITING HERE ON MY PHONE FOR LIKE TWO HOURS. GET YOUR ASS OUT OF THE GODDAMN BED."
Another one of my pillows was shoved into me.
"Shut up." I grumbled.
After our lengthy text conversation last night, I invited Korey to sleep over and have a "boy's night", to which he obviously obliged. We watched probably over 5 Disney movies, listened to the whole of Lady Gaga's discography, and stalked, or actually, made fun of people's Instagrams. Having Korey over is always a great time, and I'm really lucky to have a best friend like him.
But that feeling goes away every morning after, considering my sleep schedule is fucked and his is about as close to the average human's sleep cycle you could get without being spot on. That definitely doesn't mean I'm changing mine when he's around, though, so I usually have to face the consequences when he's up 4 hours before me. And it's plain to see that this morning I was definitely in for it.
I rolled over and faced Korey. We were both on the floor with comforters, sheets and pillows everywhere. My bed is too small to fit 2 people and I would feel kinda bad having him sleep on the ground while I was in the warmth of my bed. There was no way that I would let him sleep in my bed and leave me on the floor either, so our only option was the stereotypical "let's just sleep down here" slumber party.
This time, an empty Doritos bag hit me in the face. Remains of last night, obviously.
"Alright, alright, I'm up." I said as I sat up and threw the bag back at him. "Now quit being an ass and help me put away all these sheets." I managed to say while stretching and yawning. I grabbed my glasses from the dresser next to me and got up to fold some of the extra sheets to put into my closet.
"What time are you leaving again?" I asked Korey.
"Uh, maybe 3-ish? Definitely wasn't planning on staying at your place all day but since you sleep 'till literally noon, I might as well." He said in reply while throwing the pillows back onto my bed.
"That's a lie. You always stay here late. And don't act like you don't know it. Might as well call my house yours." I really don't have a problem with him staying here, but I felt like being sassy today. What's different from any other day, though? "And I'm guessing I'm driving you back to your house?"
"Okay, mister grumpy pants, and yeah, if you can." Korey said.
"Hey, I'm not grumpy. Just stating facts."
I threw the rest of the sheets on my bed, figuring I'd make it later. Or not, who cares. I grabbed 2 shirts and shorts, one for myself, and threw the other outfit to Korey. "Here. Change. Let's go out for breakfast somewhere?" I offered.
"Sounds good, uh, even though it's lunch time now. But whatever," He walked towards the bathroom. "I'll be out in a second." The door shut behind him and I changed into my own clothes as Korey did for himself.
I managed to change a few minutes quicker than Korey, and fixed my lavender quiff in my mirror. When it was satisfactory, I picked up my phone and started browsing through Tumblr for a second.
The bathroom door opened. "Alright! I'm ready, I'm hungry, let's go." Korey exclaimed, not even stepping back into my room as he made his way out to my living room.
"You forgot thirsty. You're always thirsty, too." I joked, and followed him out to my living room.
"Jackie girl!" Korey shouted as he walked past my mom, who was sitting on the couch watching some cooking show. Him and my mom have gotten so close it's scary. I'm afraid that their relationship will eventually replace our friendship.
