Chapter nine:
[A GLIMPSE OF MARKHYUCK]

"You'll always fall in love with the unexpected person"

It must be the sweetest thing, sitting on a carpet with someone hugging you from the back, it maybe a simple thing but became the sweetest specially when you're in love. Like this two boys who always have fights but still hold onto each other.

"Mark?" Donghyuck calls out, and received a hum from Mark, whose hugging him from behind.

"Do you still remember how we met?"

Mark chuckled as he places his chin on Donghyuck's shoulder. "Still vividly on my mind, Hyuck"

"What's your first impression about me?"

"A pain in the ass" then Mark chuckled, receiving small hits from a pouting Donghyuck "Im telling the truth, Hyuck until now you're still a pain in the ass"

Donghyuck pouts again, don't know whether to get annoyed, hit Mark or stand up and leave Mark.

"It was Renjun who first caught your attention, right?" Donghyuck felt a little strike on his heart while asking those words

"Yeah. Renjun looks cute, his smile brightens up the world, he is such a fluff ball, like a baby you want to protect" Mark was smiling those remembering the first time he saw Huang Renjun.

Little did he know, Donghyuck felt like his heart shattered into pieces but manage to smile. Sure he knows how Mark was whipped with Renjun before. And a scene flashed back on his mind.

[Flashback]

onghyuck was looking for his friend Renjun, when he saw Mark sitting on a bench looking a far. He walks near him, was about to scare him but he then follows where Mark is looking and why he is smiling ear to ear.

Mark was looking at Renjun, whose busy painting something, looking around then painting what he sees. He smiles then sometimes looks confused, that made Mark chuckled a bit.

Donghyuck just stood there, behind Mark. The latter didn't noticed him. Donghyuck felt like his heart was strike with a thunder bolt. Who wouldn't? Seeing someone you like being whipped for someone else.

Being too occupied with his thoughts he didn't notice that Mark was already infront of him, wondering why is Hyuck crying.

"Hyuck are you okay?" Mark asked, Donghyuck realizing those tears on his face, he immediately wiped it.

"Yes. I was just.. Uh.. There was a dust on my eyes? Yeah that's it"

Mark walks towards him, hold his face, Donghyuck didn't know what to do, his heart was beating so fast and loud, afraid that Mark might heard it. Mark slowly leans in with a little gap between them, he gently blow little air on Donghyuck's eyes. You know the people usually do when a dust trapped on the eyes.

Donghyuck thought that his heart might explode from the close contact. 'Fck you, Mark. Aah my heart is beating so fast' he thought.

"Is it okay now?" Mark asked as he distance himself from the face of the boy, Hyuck felt a little sadness from the sudden changes.

"Uh.. Yes! T-thanks Mark h-hyung"

"Donghyuck can you help me?"

"About what?"

"I want to ask Renjun on a date"

Donghyuck felt his heart been shattered for the second time, but it hurts more this time. Biting his lip, he slowly nods as if saying yes. Mark smiled and hugged him. He can't help but let the tears fell down. It hurts, so much.

"You're the best Donghyuck!"

"Anything for you, hyung" as he hugs Mark tightly and silently cry.

Donghyuck being in denial he is, and Mark being dense.

Donghyuck didn't notice the tears falling down from his eyes. That flashback made his heart, ache again. Mark was worried, hugging the boy tightly.

"Babe, what's wrong?" Mark pulled away and make Donghyuck face him, it hurts him seeing the boy crying "Hyuck?"

"D-do you still love R-Renjun?" Donghyuck took all the courage to ask that question, preparing himself for Mark's answer.

"Why'd you ask that?"

Ever since Jeno and Jaemin entered the picture, Donghyuck noticed how Mark looks at Renjun or how he react when the two boys are around Renjun. As if Mark is worried or he looks hurt, Donghyuck can't figure it out.

Donghyuck can't help not to cry anymore, his shoulders were shivering, and small sounds were heard. Mark immediately hug him and caresses his back.

"Hyuck, you know that's it's you whom I love now right?"

"I can see how you look at Renjun, Mark. As if there's a longing, I see it. I feel it" as his cry becomes louder. Mark hugged him tightly.

"Hyuck, its not. Im just worried about Renjun. Specially two boys entered the picture, as his bestfriend I don't want Renjun to get hurt by those two, specially now that the two are showing interest with Renjun. You know how Renjun is important to me, he is like a brother to me"

A part of Donghyuck wants not to believe it, but part of him says he should believe Mark. He should believe him because he love him.

Still crying, Donghyuck asked "Why'd you chose me? Because Renjun asked you to pay attention on me? Because he can't love you?"

Mark pulled away from the hug and cups Donghyuck's face "No. I chose you because I love you, Hyuck"

"Maybe it's the way how you annoy me to get my attention,

Its how you become annoying then be caring afterwards,

Maybe because of how you laugh,

Or how you smile,

Or how you talk,

Or how you understands me,

Or how you make me feel I'm important,

Or how bitchy you get sometimes,

Or how you became a softie at times

Or how you just be yourself,

I love you, Donghyuck. I never noticed it from the beginning,

I was so dense, Renjun was just my crush back then, infatuated.

But it was you whom I fell for, hyuck. Believe me when I say I love you because I really do. Please don't doubt me nor met feelings for you"

Tears also fell from Mark's eyes, and Donghyuck almost want to hit himself for making Mark like this. For doubting Mark and his love for him. Donghyuck slowly leans in, even if he's crying, closing the gap between him and Mark, and their lips and heart became connected.

Donghyuck didn't know why, but he felt something, was that jealousy? But that at that moment he felt Mark's love for him, and he will believe on that.

Now that Jeno and Jaemin are on land, their powers affect those people around them. Jeno felt a little pain on his heart "Aish. What happened? What's with this pain on my heart?"

Maybe because he carries the power of jealousy, and that jealousy was defeated by love of Markhyuck.

Jaemin on the other hand, smiled for he felt like something good thing happened, that he carries the love and affection power and love  wins over anything.
