Chapter 12

Renjun woke up from his sleep, feeling running out of breath. What was that? The question that bothers on his mind

"That's a weird dream" Renjun said as he gets up and went to the bathroom

He looks himself in the mirror "wow, my eyes already has 2 bags"

He gets his toothbrush and brushed his teeth, still trying to imahine his dream

"A man with wings?" He asked, talking to his reflection in the mirror "was that an angel or something?" Renjun shooked his head off "aniya. It was just a dream"

As soon as he finishes brushing his teeth, he went downstairs and met by a lazy jeno with his legs on the center table watching telivision looking lazily at the screen

"Why did you wake up late, Huang?" jeno asked then stood up to follow renjun whose going to the kitchen

"Jeno its 7:00 o'clock in the morning plus its weekend, no need to wake up early" Renjun says as he gets a bread and put it in the toaster

"I'm going to the store, join me"

Renjun turn around to face jeno with his one brow raised "Jeno, the store is just 2 house away"

"And so?" Jeno raised his one brow and crosses his arms

Renjun scoffed. 'This guy is unbelievable' a statement on his mind

"No one will harm you outside"

Jeno hides his smirk 'of course no one will, i have a power to defeat them' is what he wanted to say but instead "just tag along"

Jeno didn't know why but he wants Renjun to be by his side, their side and even if its hard he is trying to make Renjun side for him or atleast be close to him but knowing Jeno, he can't do it better unlike Jaemin. Jeno sighed unknowingly, Jeno didn't noticed that Renjun saw him sighed

Even if Renjun doesn't like it he chooses to accompany Jeno even if the store is just two house away🤦🏻‍♀️

Along their way they saw a cute little kitten, Renjun smiled and awe, walks to the kitten and places it on his arms "Jeno, look! This kitten is so cute"

Jeno's face was like -________-
That made Renjun scrunches his nose and rolled his eyes "such a stone hearted guy" Renjun commented as he puts the kitten

They walk for a few more steps to the store when Renjun noticed that the kitten was following him, without further notice Renjun picked it up while Jeno wasn't looking

"Are you lost?" Renjun asked the kitten, the kitten meowed as if he understand what Renjun have said, Renjun can't help not to smile as he remembers the first day he met Jaemin. They met because of wenjunnie, jaemin's cat

"Put that down, Renjun"

Renjun was back off from his tracks when he heard Jeno spoke. His voice was frim

"But...."

"Renjun put that down, someone might own it"

Jeno just hate cute litte things, and that includes Renjun but.....

Jeno sighed when Renjun pouted his lips, looking sadly at the kitten then back at him to the kitten, as if the kitten is his that he will not let go

'What's wrong with you, Jeno?' he askes himself, Renjun just did that 🥺 face and now he is persuaded

'Renjun must be something' he said again at the back of his mind. Jeno is just dense as of now

"But we will give him or her to the rightful owner soon" Jeno said

Renjun smiled so widely and pure that made Jeno look away. His heart skipped a bit but he shake off the thought because it my be just something else.

They head back to their house, Renjun all giggly while Jeno is lost in his thoughts. Why is his heart skipped a beat on Renjun's smile? Does he developes heart disease? Or what means?

"Jeno carry this kitten for a while"

"No way!" Jeno protested but Renjun walks to him and places the kitten on his arms

Jeno didn't know what to do with the kitten. Its his first time carrying a pet. He secretly curse on Renjun

The kitten purrs on Jeno's arms, as if the kitten ia comfortable with him, he gently touches the kitten's fur, the kitten responded with another purr as he wags his little tail. Jeno continued doing it, little did he know a little smile escaped from his lips

"Why does renjun like this kind of things?"

On the other hand, Renjun was a little far from where Jeno is, he stares at the boy for a little while.

Jeno was caressing the kitten's fur with a smile on his lips, talking to the kitten as if it was a human or something, then smile again.

It was the second time he saw Jeno's smile today.

The one was when he ask jeno to bring the kitten back home and now jeno smiling to the little kitten.

Renjun smiled genuinely "Maybe Jeno is not really a total stone heart" then walks towards jeno and kitten. When Jeno sense that renjun is already there he hides his unknown smile and back to his stone expression.

Maybe just maybe, jeno has a soft spot for cute little things including Renjun

A bud that is slowly turning to a blooming flower, their love has began
