Chapter 2 ( I Hope This Night Never Ends )

For the most part, you don't hold the people you love in your heart because they rescued you from drowning or pulled you from a burning house. Mostly you hold them in your heart because they save you, in a million quiet and perfect ways, from being alone!

This is exactly what happened with Ashu. He wasn't very good at starting a conversation or expressing himself, then he met her and everything happened just so effortlessly.
Ashu felt a sudden change after his interaction with Alisha.
It was surprising for everyone that He started showing interest in wedding preparations. He spent most of the days with his cousins in preparations. Alisha admired this change. She was happy that she helped him to change. Now coming 7 days before the wedding started making sense to Ashu. He never knew that someone could walk into his life and create this much impact on him in just so little time. Alisha was the human form of the rainbow in the sunshine. Some people truly stand out, as if they are blessed by the Almighty Himself, destined to make this world a better place. Alisha was one of those rare blessed people. It was her specialty to make everything right and so positive around her.

No matter how busy they were during the daylight, their nights were reserved for each other.. Almost entire nights were spent talking.. Alisha too started gazing at the night sky with Ashu.
Sometimes when Ashu used to get so lost in gazing at the stars, she watched him, with her sparkling deer-like eyes, like she was watching some sort of miracle. Even the kids started enjoying their company. Alisha liked everything about him...

Ashu was talking with Kavya (Cousin sister) teasing her about how her mother-in-law would treat her like a servant after the wedding. Then Kavya started teasing Ashu about Alisha
"I can smell a love story cooking here," she said hitting Ashu with her elbow
" Hell no.. There's nothing like love and there's no story. We're just friends. She is a weird girl. Like who even brushes their teeth two times in a day" Ashu defended
" Well her reaction didn't seem like just friends kind of thing when I asked her about you. She was blushing" She said
" By the way, she's beautiful na" she added
" She's mad. Don't believe her. And I don't know the difference between beautiful and not beautiful." Ashu replied
" Ahhan Mr Philosopher you won I lose. Did she inform you that her parents aren't coming to the wedding" she said
" Wait what! She didn't tell me that" Ashu was surprised
"She got a call from her Mother this morning. They're busy with their office work so they won't be able to make it here. That is why she was a bit sad" she said
  Ashu immediately got up and started searching for her. He searched everywhere in the house but she was nowhere. Ashu asked if anyone saw her but nobody had seen her from the morning. Ashu knew where he could find her... He rushed to the another house and there she was. Sitting on the bed, with a look of disappointment and eyes blood red. Ashu stood at the door and watched her... He didn't know how to handle these kinds of situations so he just stood there for a few minutes and slowly moved, entered the room, and sat beside her. She didn't utter a word. She just simply rested her head on his shoulder and started sobbing. Nobody said anything for a few minutes.
"They promised me that they'd come, but they are not coming" she said sobbing

" Don't cry. Maybe it is very urgent that's why they're not coming" Ashu tried to ease her
" They're always busy... They never had time for me. They are always busy" She started crying even more
Ashu held her face and wiped her tears.
"Don't worry everything will be okay. We'll have a lot of fun..I'm here for you and I promise, you're never going to forget this wedding " He said

"Really?"

"Yes, I can tolerate anything but not a single teardrop in your eyes Duffer" Ashu said looking into her eyes

Alisha never had a good relationship with her parents because of their busy life and their office work. She always felt ignored and left out in her own home. Sometimes life gets so busy chasing goals that we fail to even manage time for our loved ones. Ashu had no idea that she was having family issues, she had never spoken about it before, but now that he knew, he could do anything to make her feel the best here..
  Alisha was feeling much better, and having him with her in her sorrow was more magnificent than she ever thought it could be. His presence was enough to make her feel better. And this was the very moment when she felt something inside her for him.
" You're my Augustus Waters, Ashu" she said looking into his eyes
