Vanya stops and stairs for a moment but finally says "I'll put on a pot of coffee".

I zoned out for a while and drank my coffee.

"So we adapted... whatever the world threw at us, we found a way to overcome it" Five continued explaining.

"You got anything stronger?" I say cutting five off and putting down my empty coffee cup.

Vanya starts pouring me and Five some liquor, Five takes sips of his but I end up gulping it down.

I nod towards Vanya and push my empty glass towards her, indicating for a refill "em- no Eight! I'm not having to drunk walking home" I scoff "2 glasses won't get me drunk! Besides I deserve this".

He looks at Vanya for a moment "You think we're crazy?" He asked "no- I just, it's a lot to take in" she defends "Exactly what don't you understand?" He begins again while I pour myself another drink not allowing Five to see "Why didn't you just time travel back".

I stop Five before he got irritated which was a bit to late. "Ok! Vanya we did, we tried". "Time travel is a crapshoot" Five begins again "we went into the ice and never acorn-ed... you think I didn't try everything to get us back to our family".

"If you guys got old there, you know- In the apocalypse, why do you guys still look like kids now?" She questioned, "I told you already" Five was annoyed. "I must have got the equations wrong" he sighs and walks over the the bottle of liquor on the counter. I finish my drink quickly.

I walk over after him and put my cup with his so he can pour me some too.

"I mean dad always said, time travel could mess up your mind, maybe that's what's happened?" I gulp down my drink and so does Five.

"Really Vanya... ". I'm a little discouraged that Vanya honestly doesn't believe us. She was always the one who would 'look on the bright side' and now when we needed her, she wouldn't. I can't blame her for changing though.

"This was a mistake, your to young... to naive to understand, let's go Eight" he pulled at my waist gently indicating to follow him. I grabbed the bottle off the table,  and nodded towards Vanya while Five waited at the door, ready to go.

"No! Five! Eight! Wait!" She stops us. "I haven't seen you's in a long time, and I don't want to loose you guys again. That's all" She said looking at us with desperation.

"And you know what, it's getting late. I have lessons early and I need sleep and I'm sure you guys do too... here" she walks us over to her sofa "we'll talk again in the morning okay? I promise"

"Night" she says as she left the room.

"Come on then" I say getting up, Five furrows his eyebrows, "what? I knew we weren't staying" he chuckles and opens the door.

~Morning~

We wake up at the academy, my arms around Five and his above his head, he must have woken before me. "Mornin' missy" he says. "Morning" I smile as he sits up leaving my head to fall onto the pillows.

"Oww no! Come back!" I purse my lips at him.

"Can't, it's a big day and we're burning daylight!" I groan as he stands up and walks over to the dresser.

"A big day? Are you joking! What have you got me into. THE END OF THE WORLD!" I pull a shocked face and roll my eyes playfully and sit myself up, dangling my feet of the edge of Fives bed.

"No actually..." he begins to undress into a new clean uniform. "This is a- very! Important day!"

I groan and fall back onto the bed. "Screw important days!" I force myself to sit back up and slide off the bed just enough so my feet were touching the floor.
